Hi Folks,
I was scanning a through the guardsmen codex and writing a list for an army i might follow through with in 2012 when i noticed some weren't listed in the games workshop website, and vice versa.
What i mean is that in the Codex, things like Veteran Squads are included but on the Games Workshop site, there is no such model. Also on the Games Workshop site, Kasrkin models are sold, but not mentioned in the codex.
Am i being a complete fool? and missing something, which is most likely. Or this there some other alternative?
Thanks Guys.

kasrkins are the Cadian Stromtrooper.
veterans generally are just normal troopers are there are no specific models. Hope that clears up any issues.

Normally, you should model or paint them differently.. People tend to make them more "rugged"... Sometimes, its also in the weapons the squad carries. They can carry 2 more special weapons than a regular infantry squad, for example

You can just paint something very simple on, maybe give them white trimming or a stripe on their shoulder piece.

White stripes (usually on the helmet) are generally associated with conscripts, I would use red, yellow or gold stripes to designate vets.

Its not uncommon for GW to have units availbal to a army, but not to have the moddels- So feel free to make your own, and Vets need to be markerd different. Either with other uniforms or other markings.

Making vets is simple, just put "more" on them, painting, add-on grenades, backpacks or use the special heads you get with command squads and sentinels.

Chimeras > rhinos (course then again piling a regular squad out of a chimera usually creates a scene similar to Omaha beach during D-Day) |

I use Catachans with Cadian heads to represent the veterans squads when using both Vets and Platoons since most of my infinity is Cadian models.

With veterans you should just model them clearly different. I modeled mine with special shotguns I converted, and I used the command squad box to make them for my Catachans:
