So, i'm working on a DKoK force, For the most part, i use the updated Seige list, as well as switching to the IG Codex from time to time. its quite clear that both lists play very differently, and thats what i like about it. Currently my list is mostly infantry platoons and a squad of engineers, not many vehicles, in the codex list with Manticores (that i plan to proxy as Bombards in the IA list) Its mostly a foot/RT list. Now what i cant quite figure out, is how, or where i could implient a unit of Grenadiers. The thought that i initially had for them was 2x Flamer + Heavy Flamer.. But then that seemed like it should be mounted into a Centaur, which would in all honesty be killed off too quickly on its own. Would this unit work on foot, if it stayed behind a blob, or covering the heavy weapons?

Oh stop complaining, its for the greater good... Now get in the box!

Grenadiers are indeed a little different from stormtroopers... No special deployment can be an handicap.
I am not fond of the offensive method with a centaur.

But if your using heavy blobs or defensive deployment, I think they can hide themselves well in the crowd/ruins to be ready to counter attack with some flamers/heavy-flamer or a democharge.

Miniatures are beautiful, so I am looking too to use them on the battlefield that way.

However, most of the time, I prefer to fill my elite slots with Heavy Mortars and Thudd Guns. I love artillery, medium or heavy.

Hope that helps you a little.
