If an ork shoots his slugga at a tank(lets say a land raider for fun) and he really believes it will blow a hole in it,will the slugga blast a massive hole in the land raider?

No.

Ork weapons somertimes work only for orks, because they can bend reality a titchy bit.

Now believing the scrapyard challenge you call a KMB can blow a hole in a tank.. that's different

You have to understand something about orks, the power of belief only goes so far and ontop of that it really doesn't work with something the ork already knows he didn't spend much teef on to get. Sluggas are like side arms in a hive city... everyone has one, infact it's a means to greet in some of the cultures there. For orks its a shoddy gun put together to throw slugs of ammo and startle enemies. Orks would never place faith in their gunz unless it was perhaps a big mek with his SAG because to them, guns are more or less there to scare the enemy and occasionally kill a enemy they don't think is worth the effort to fight (which is rare bwt... lol)

Even if the ork did believe his gun could do it he's just not a weird boy where that could maybe happen especially when every other ork for miles is grumbling about how strong and dead killy it is. Infact if it did that ork would only be mad! he would have wanted a fight that could nearly kill him and if he was lucky enough to survive it he would go to great lengths to retreive the dead pilots and mix there blood with burning motor oil and drink it thus becoming a Tankbusta boy! now he might have more reason to think his customized slugga designed to shoot into the tiny vision ports of a vehicle might do the trick... but i bet he has more faith in that squig he bought with all the teff yanked out of the skulls of his dead ladz from the original land raider explosion while strapping up powerful explosives and handing it over to a runt herder to teach it to rush large moving metal objects before he presses his big red button with a smile.

So yeah basic ork psychology, sociology, and warfare tactics explained in one post

The Emperor doesn't have a GKs unshakable faith in the Emperor which is....basically himself?

Nope.

But if every Ork thought it they'd be able to, would cost so much and thus be rare, they'd be bigger and have more parts thrown on and would have a better name than Slugga; like Krusha or Deff Krusha something like that.

Their guns aren't more powerful when an Ork holds them, they're just more reliable. Whether this is because they're made specifically for Orks or if it's because of their gestalt psychic field is left to speculation (the mechanicus believes the latter).

Sitting in yo' bath tub, poopin out shoggoths

The orks "Waaagh!" field can only do minor things, like make sure your trukk keeps moving, or your shoota keeps shooting....

They can't just be like "I fink I can kill dem' umies' by lookin at em'" and the space marines all explode.

That's a weirdboyz job

I used to play Orks for a long time and always wondered at this question myself. I am sure it is possible that at some point during a random battle, an ork decided to charge something like a land raider, firing his shoota or slugga wildly as he ran towards it. This probably wasn't because he thought his gun would penetrate the tank, but rather was just because when orks are charging, they are always depicted shooting at the same time. However I thought it would be funny that if while he was shooting rounds at the tank, the tank accidently ran over a crude ork land mine or something, and exploded. This might give the effect that the orks shoota caused the explosion, when in reality it was a big AT mine that did it. That ork would then go around telling all the other boyz of his great accomplishment!

Basically, recall the last scene in Saving Private Ryan, where the Captain is blindly firing an M9 pistol at the oncoming German Panzer. Clearly in shock and out of options, and looking down the barrel of a Panzer, the Captain's only option left is to pop off a few futile rounds, knowing his demise is close at hand. At that point, fighter planes drop a bomb and explode the tank, right at the same moment one of his pistol rounds impacts the tank. The movie scene makes it look as if (at first) the pistol magically exploded the tank. Just imagine the same happening to an Ork boy with shoota. Only now replace the captain in the movie with an ork who has the mental capacity of a 7 year old human child...

Yeah, he would definitely think he sploded that tank!

Hmmm i think if the blast rattled his brain maybe. Nah Most orks who 'want' to kill a tank rather than cripple it would be the tankbusta boyz.
