I'm about to give some of my old books to players in my area to make room for some new stuff but was wondering if those books could still have some value for players. (should I try to sell them instead of giving them?)

-Rulebook 6th Edition Softcover

-The Empire Army Book 2000
-The Empire Army Book 1993

-Chronicles 2004

WARHAMMER 40K:

Thanks

The General's Compendium is a nice one, but I think most of these books have only a small value. Most books with value are the much older ones.

Any rulebook from the last 11 years or so is next to worthless in the secondary market. Stuff from the early 90s can occasionally get okay money online, but generally isn't worth a whole lot. Old models are a different story.

Omadon's Realm

The old 'big hardbacks' can go for some fairly hefty money.

The old Realm of Chaos books, Slaves to Darkness and The Lost And The DAmned both fetch a high price, especially the later as only one print run was done.
The ork books from those times also go for good money.

I'd keep the Generals Compendium. It has a lot of good info that can be used regardless of the edition of the game, and has much better content than the stuff GW just put out for sieges/campaigns.

Ive bought almost every old book for around 1$.. so most of your books wont be worth much

Unfortunately all the super "rare" books can be downloaded which while it may not be the most legal way, but it does severely reduce their scarcity (and price)

The only reasons to keep the old books around are fluff and possibly interesting missions that can be adjusted to modern format. Other than that, they aren't worth too much.

2012- stopped caring
Nova Open 2011- Orks 8th Seed---(I see a trend)
Adepticon 2011- Mike H. Orks 8th Seed (This was the WTF list of the Final 16)
Adepticon 2011- Combat Patrol Best General

They are also useful if you decide you like an earlier edition and want the book(s) for future gaming, scenario ideas and/or painting guides, etc.
