Hey, so after lurking around Dakka for a while I decided to actually get up and contribute. Hence this P&M log. Having colleected Necrons for a while I was stoked when I saw the new Necron models and am starting a P&M log to track the progress of my second necron army. My first army was painted in that oh-so-boring boltgun 'n go color scheme that is now known as the Sautehk dynasty, so this time I decided to try my hand at something different and go with a combination of ceramic and rusty metal. Here's a test pic:

Sorry for the god-awful camera quality, the lighting in my basement is poor, as is my camera. I'm running off a Fujifilm XP, herpaderp. If anyone wants to give tips as to improve my photography, I'd appreciate it.
All I can say is it looks better in person.

Sorry for the double post, but I played around with my camera settings and achieved something of moderately decent quality:

They don't look half bad in the pics. I can personally atest to them being better in person, but the pics are decent

Some shots of the Annihilation Barge. No fancy conversion work, just straight out of the box.

The Doomsday Ark.

For thirty 'Ard Boyz this Thursday, this was the last thing they ever saw.

Deathmark headswap on the pilot - all the better to see you with.

Oversized ordnance dice are fun, any creative ideas on how I should modify them? Immortal for scale comparison.

I think your Doomsday Ark is upside down.

Other than that, I really like the chipping effect. Will be watching this blog more.

The ark is upside down for a reason. You see, I built it that way for two reasons - 1 to show the gun off a bit more, and 2 the gun is magnetized in, and can be swapped out with warriors to make a Ghost Ark.

Ah, that makes more sense. If I could, I would try to make the ribs part rotate 180 degrees, so that you could have them either pointing up or down, but I don't have the skill.
