So, my brother just started Skorne, and he got the Battle Box with Pmorghoul. Now, i have been looking at pmorghoul, and im just not getting him. What is his play style, or is he more of a tool boxcaster? he has three spells, none of which seem all that game breaking. His feet is interesting, but as far as shut down feats go, not ALL that special. Sure, against light infantry, he is a beast, but, that seems too monofocused for a warlock. Like, i can sort of see him working as an assassination caster, but apart from a lot of attacks, and a good speed and MAT, it doesn't seem like he is all that well suited for this either. Im not saying he sucks, as i am VERY knew to hordes, and only have other Skorne warlocks to compare him to, but as far as they are concerned, he just doesn't seem to measure up. Can dakka help me lift my veil of ignorance?

From my very limited experience with pMorg (I just started using him this week) he is a very assassination oriented character. His spells are just to get his beasts closer/take care of some tricky warcaster things (like taking away the ability to transfer damage, be healed, removing tough, etc.. His abilities like double strike, and anatomical precision show that he is going to deal at least 12 points of damage with full fury (which is enough to deal some hefty damage to a caster. Maltreatment lets you run a warbeast a little hotter, and you can take a point away from him, allowing morgul 2 more attacks.
He's fast, he has a high MAT, he's a very speed oriented caster. He can't be knocked down, Combined arms don't work on him, and he's immune to free strikes. If he kills something, he gets a speed boost. Tons of tricks with pMorg...
I hope this helps you out, and I hope you can see what pMorg is a really good caster for Skorne.

pMorghoul's deal:
Admonition an important model (BB Titan for example) to shuck and jive away from incoming enemy offensives.
Then shove 2-3 SPD8 (Gladiator animus, Abuse) P&S 20-21 (Abuse, Enrage) Titans straight into your opponent's junk.
Although it's a more subtle kill method, you also have the option of slamming your own models over a living enemy warlock/warcaster, then walking in with 14 auto-hitting attacks from Morg to plink them to death.
And finally, being unable to spend focus under his feat means that you can knock down enemy warjacks via either slams or throws and feat to deny them movement or action, as they have to sacrifice one to stand up.

The last battle I saw with pMorg (I was giving some demos), this young lady had slammed the Gladiator into her boyfriend's crusader, knocking it backwards, and running over Kreoss. She ran her beasts how and had to deal with frenzied beasts. The gladiator survived 2 turns like that (one was feat turn), and with 3 hit boxes left, he frenzied hit Kreoss for a few points of damage, and then on her turn she used Maltreatment to take a fury away, it killed the beast, she reeved one more fury, and charged in for the kill. Because she feated the previous turn, Kreoss was stocked with all of his focus. She literally could not damage him without boosting attacks. So, she sat there and just took attack, after attack, after attack, until Kreoss died to Anatomical Precision. Edited for clarification based on Caspers post below.

Thanks! That is what my bro has been doing, throwing titans at me, but i his problem is that playing pirates with shae, so no knockdown, and if he gets morghoul close enough to me for an assassination he is typically then in my threat range, and last 3 games, a storm rager'd shae has feat'd into Morghoul and eaten him. But that is probably because he is using the battle box with only 1 titan. Thanks a bunch!

He has Anatomical Precision so Kreoss armor really shouldn't have mattered, especially if Kreoss was already damaged.

PMorghoul is one of my main go-to men for stomping. More often than not he will do the assassin's job himself with the mentioned 14 attacks, but the true power is being able to send his beasts screaming down the field fairly quickly into the enemy to crush them under foot and tusk. He especially excels at killing shield wall infantry that are single wound. Overtake and ripper claws means he can clean up an entire unit and just sprint away wearing his troll mask loud and proud.
This is one bit every morghoul player knows: take a Cyclops brute. They are game saving for him as his amazing defense means nothing if he's lying on the ground. He likes to turn fast beasts into scalpel bullets, killing important pieces your opponent needs or forcing him to keep them further from play to avoid the inevitable kill. He takes a subtle hand to know where he has to go, cntrl rng 10 is a bit of a hard pill to swallow compared to higher fury casters.

I know, this was her second game, and I was her tactical back up buddy lol... I mentioned that at armor 22, you literally needed double sixes to reach his armor... I said, just go for the more attacks.

eMorghoul I think will actually like the Archidon more. Being able to sprint again should give some power.
