An ork RPG. Has anyone else thought of this? We have RT HD DW DC, but no one thought to do orks? They are practically perfect. There fight and loot mentality matches up with the mentality of most RPG players. They are easy put in the classic Fighter/Mage/Thief roles. You can just do so much with them. Why am I the only one who has this idea. Someone tell me if this really is a good idea, or if it's bonkers.

Yes, its called D&D, a Half-Orc party can be quite fun for a bit, but it usually dissolves quickly into a lot of drinking and killing random NPC's.

I'm not a fan of Black Crusade at all, but I can't imagine how an Ork role playing game would be anything more than a roll playing game.

Marneus Calgar is referred to as "one of the Imperium's greatest tacticians" and he treats the Codex like it's the War Bible. If the Codex is garbage, then how bad is everyone else?

That's part of the appeal to me. In there natural state, a player is basically an ork. They want to fight , they want to loot, then they want to do something stupid cool.

Seems like such a no brainer idea, but I guess it's bonkers.

Can't imagine this to hold for a long-term role playing system, but it might be a lot of fun for an evening or two.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

I can see the possibilities of long-term Ork campaigns. For example you could have each player trying to become the Ork warboss or to prove that your Ork warband are 'arder than the others and thus bringing the Orks together to form a Waaaaaagh! Then there's leading the Waaaaaagh! to a planet and fighting whilst preventing other Orks from challenging your groups position of being in control (players could be Ork warboss and his Nobz/subordinates).

Plenty of classes; Ork Warboss, Wierd boyz, Mech boyz, Nobz, Shoota Boyz, Slugga Boyz, Kommandos, Grots (that'd be interesting to RP).
