My aim here is to create a fun, fluffy and competitive list. I am not, in any way, aiming for min-maxing. Rather, I want a list that stays true to the character of the chapter, and is also reasonably able to take all comers.

Glory to the Twelfth! Glory to Angron!

‎"Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls. The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does. That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

If you are planning of deep striking those assualt marines and land speeders, becareful of Grey Knight's Warp Quake psychic power. If they pass the test in their movement phase, avoid scattering near 12" or else auto mishap when it is your turn. the power last until the end of your turn, so on your opponent's next turn,he/she will have to recast it if they want to use it again.

I like this list. You have 40 marines to hack and slash and pound your through IG tank spam once they reach them. Just have to prey the S9 AP3 battle cannon template scatters far. But you have Devastators to deal with them and the signum on your sarge, instead of firing his weapon, gives a model BS5 instead. Asfar as I know for sure, if you face IG infantry Blob, this list goesdown the fast. You CC a squad, 2 or 3 other IG infantry squad will wither you down. *shudder* Think of how much Guardmens you can fit in 2000 points. And the plasmaguns... God... the amount of plasma shots on Vet Squads.

Orks, you might have a problem with Nob Bikers due to their T4(5). You can ID some with your melta shots and PF and lascannons and those thyphoon missle launcher but it will be a tough uphillfight in CC. Just have to be wary and look out for those ork hordes and cheap killa kans.

Against Nids, you will face a heavy challange if there is a tervigon or two birthing 3D6 termagents every turn. Even worse, they have units of higher initiative and rending CC weapons. You have to look out of those Hive Guard S8 AP4 shots sniping your Commander Dante look alike from LOS blockers.

Against Tau, have to watch out of those Railguns from those broadsides and the fish of fury tactics.

I am not sure of Eldar, Sisters, Necrons and Dark Eldar races. Have not played against them yet.

To think of it, against Vanilla Marines, you can top them in CC and go toe to toe with what they throw against you.

To sum this list up, it could be a good all rounder, but youmight to add more anti horde and find someway to dealwith nids. You will have a tough fight with themNids on the field.

i gave each squad a flamer as a anti-hoard weapon
ditto with the speeders (frag missiles) and their heavy flamers
personally i reckon with blob guard i just need to multi-charge. With 25 normal attacks plus 3 from the fist each assault squad is going to do a significant amount of damage to guard. even if its eg 2 combined squads of 30 men each (around the usual setup) he will kill maybe 4 marines max, or 1-2 if my priest from the honor guard is nearby. Even if he has a comissar (likely) making them fearless I'm still going to kill him faster than he can kill me
regarding Tyranids, I would have the Devastators and the speeders target the big bugs first. With average Toughness for the big Tyranid monsters such as Tyrant, Trygon etc being 6, the massed missiles and lascannons will knock them down with ease. Against the swarms, the flamers will do well against the T3-T4 gaunts, gants and stealers, especially since they only have 5+ armor or worse. Bolt pistols will also hurt them.
With Tau, proper Fish of Fury, as it was, no longer works. Even if he takes maximum battlesuits, say 30 plus 2 commanders, and they all have plasma rifles, considering that i will be in cover they will not be able to kill enough to stop me from rolling them down in combat
orks wise, Being faster my marines should get the charge, and without S4 the orks should not be able to do too much in combat. Again, flamers will be useful. Against the nob bikers and kans, the speeders with their krak missiles should be able to clean them up, or the Librarian with S10 in combat can also do that.
Honestly my real concern is Dark Eldar. With an insane amount of dark lances (my own 2000 point list packs 32), and wyches being able to tie me down in combat, I might have most of my assault elements bogged down and taken apart.
