question

I'm planning on starting up a sanguinary guard army, my issue with this army, is how master crafted weapons work.

each model is supposed to get a single rerroll in theory, this means I would need 5-7 different colored dice, so I can allocate hits/rerolls properly since each model only gets one reroll. My question is, is there a rule i'm missing in the CC part of the rulebook that makes this less obnxious? can I just take a maximium of 5 rerolls and be done with it?

You need to roll each separately or otherwise distinguish them.

This is the same issue people had with Vulcan and MC Thunder Hammers.

You getting a max of 5 rerolls is very advantageous for you from a probability perspective.

All the Blood Angels players I've faced have just rolled a small handful of dice for each Sanguinary Guard separately so that they can pick out one attack that missed and reroll it. It is unfortunately tedious but I don't believe there are any alternatives.

You MUST roll separately, otherwise you are vastly improving your odds

Different dice colours is a great idea to speed the process up!

Thanks guys, looks like the annoyance of playing this army is exactly what I expected it to be

You could also roll all of the models' first attacks in one batch, then the models' second attacks in a second batch, etc.

Reroll as needed up to the limit.

This isn't really more efficient, tbh.

At least the model count is low... helps to balance the individual rolling for combat!
