Sorry if this idea has already been proposed but i didnt see it, and im sure you all want to get your two cents in. What is your opinion on a special option Tau Commander which allows battlesuits to be feilded as troop choices, similar to space marine commanders that allow terminators to be feilded as troop choices.

This way you could have up to 11 crisis squads in a normal army. ( 2 as HQ, 3 as Elites, 6 as Troops). While some might say thats overkill, look at what happens when tau attempt any strategy other than shooting -_- we could use something to bring in the heavy fire power that the fluff SAYS we should have as is. Obviously this commander option would be more expensive then a base line commander, but i think a max of 33 battlesuits would more than make up for the points cost

Alternatly, what about an upgrade to the standard tau commander that conferred this proposed rule? Some sort of "Elite Cadre" of "Front Line Army" sort of thing.

The most sensible solution I've seen has been to steal from the Orks; A crisis suit team per crisis suit commander. Not like you weren't going to take 2 anyways.
