Hi Dakka!
I just wondered if any one of you guys and gals had come upon this before? It's strange when you hear a song that you truly love, then read the lyrics minus the music. In my mind, it's a pretty tough thing too do, to write a song that would be just as good as a poem if you were to present it as such. I'm not really sure I can articulate myself properly, so I'll just post an example of what I'm trying to say!
I'll spoiler it, cos it's quite a wall of text!
That was the brilliant Marillion, with Warm Wet Circles.. Do any of you get what I'm trying too say? I guess a top top lyricist should be a poet first and a singer/song writer second!
There are only a few top song writers i can think of off hand. Derick Dick (Fish), Jim Morrison, and at a push Otis Redding. Any one have anything to add too this slight rambling of mine?
