In the assault phase if you assault a vehicle and destroy it there is no consolidation move correct?

Does the same apply when you assault a walker and destroy it? Or is this combat treated like a normal combat versus infantry? Does the non-walker unit get to consolidate after winning?

You only get a consolidation move when you destroy a unit with a Weapon Skill.

Walkers fight just like infantry so they make consolidation moves if they are not Stunned or Immobilized.

you answer is still unclear...

the walkers have a WS so according to what you say, if i kill one my unit gets a consolidation move as normal.

But your post is confusing because you say 'you ONLY get a.." makes it sound as if i dont in this situation

What's unclear?

You only get to consolidate if you kill a unit with a WS. In other words, you do not get to consolidate if you kill a unit without a WS.

Do walkers have a WS?

If i you ask me 'hey is that sprite a soda?' and i answered 'ONLY liquid with bubbles is soda'

then your question is not being directly answered. Why over complicate it just say 'yes, because it has bubbles' if you want to add any extra bits of info.

In this case just writting "yes you consolidate after' would've been a good answer. Any extra info could've been added after that

It's the same as throwing in a double/triple negative into a sentence when you could've just just phrased it differently and made it clearer.

Anyway thanks for the answer.

Does the unit you destroyed have a weapon skill?

If yes -> Consolidate.

If no -> Do not consolidate.

I am not sure how I could have been any more clear.

Well, but you didn't ask whether sprite was a soda. You asked whether any clear drink is a soda.

You question was whether you get to consolidate after you destroyed a vehicle, to which the answer would be "maybe".

If the destroyed vehicle has a weapon skill, you get to consolidate. Currently all such vehicles are either walkers or super-heavy walkers, but you know GW. Sooner or later there will be a skimmer punching stuff.
If the destroyed vehicle has no weapon skill, you do not get to consolidate. The vast majority of vehicles fall into this category.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

Not even sooner or later -you could give Chaos vehicles a WS upgrade in the old 3.5 codex.

The first question was rhetorical, I suppose its hard to convey that through the net. But thats why i separated it from the rest as something that I already knew the answer to.

The real question was about the walkers and consolidation to make sure im not playing that wrong. In the end its now answered and clear so thank you very much.
