I have a HUGE amount of lag when playing space marine online. I've tried several different connections from different places too. Does anyone else have this issue? It's mainly in versus, but in Exterminatus it is quite bad (but playable) as well. (I'm fairly sure it isn't my computer's hardware, because it runs campaign absolutely smooth)

I quite often have lag, but I think a lot is down to other players too. If another player has a bad connection, it slows everyone down to compensate.

I stopped playing after it started getting really bad. Compaired to other games which tend to affect everyone equally, I found the lag in SM tended to favour the player who was lagging. There would be so many times where I would be moving and then I would be dead, without seeing a shot or another player.

This happened to me lots too. Once I had a horrible set of hosts who cut out every minute. I can't count how many times I ended up in front of a Meltagun at point-blank.

Yup, Space Marine has been laggy since Day One. It's a lot better than it used to be, but still super annoying...it's actually one reason why I play it a lot less :/

One thing that annoys me is that I play my game for a couple of days, then the file gets corrupted and I have to reinstall it.

The thing with Spacemarine is, it does not have dedicated servers. This means that every game is hosted by someone actually playing that game. If you get a good host, you can often have a lag-free experience, but more times than not, you will struggle with lag.

If a game is really laggy, the best thing to do is leave and search for a new game. The best games I've had have been with people I know hosting.

Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it. Don't wait for it. Just let it happen. It could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot black coffee.
