So what do you guys think of my Ork list?

As said in your other thread, the Koptas are going to be crossing their fingers on a leadership test when only 1 dies. You may want to reconsider.

Other than that, you essentially have a green tide list.

If you're set on your Nob squad and the configuration, I would suggest adding a painboy and taking Cyborks. At least they will get better survivability that way. You could easily cover the cost of adding him by decreasing your koptas to 1 man squads.

Maybe use some more kopta points for some Gretchen to give yourself a meatshield.

I'm not a fan of looted wagons, but they can be good against MEQ's (if you hit)

thanks for the advice, i was curious tho as to what other anti armor i can field other then Deffkoptas and Looted wagons. I took your advice and now ill run 3 koptas individually. maybe put saws on them i'm not sure if thats effective or a points sink.

i have one squad of lootas and they seem like they'd be pretty good... but i dont understand the mechanism for the Deffgun, but maybe i do, if i'm correct i have 5 lootas, i roll a D1 i get 5 shots, a roll of D2, 10 shots, and D3, 15 shots right? Just multiply the amount of Loots by the D1/2/3 . ?

i was curious if i should drop the nobz for more boys? or maybe get lootas..?

what do you think about big gunz?

Yep, that's pretty much how they work. If you roll well they can do a lot of damage.

But anyway, looks like an interesting list. I'm assuming the meks would go into boyz squads?
Also, the nobz are always a good choice, but I have the feeling that they won't last long even with the kff bubbles, so I agree with Dodgywop that you should also give them a painboy (and if not the cybork than at least the 4+ armor). Otherwise, it would be worth it to trade them to fill out your boyz squads.
I have never actually used big gunz so I can't speak to their effectiveness, though in theory a trio of kannons should compliment your army nicely, especially if you are using only single kopta squadrons.

Christ, where do you buy your turnips?

There are 2 responses to Lootas:

1. People LOVE them and take them in every list
2. People HATE them and sink points elsewhere

IMO Lootas are fantastic (and yes you are correct in how you use their Deffguns). Good point cost, and I have never had a game where they didn't fulfill they're point cost. Take these for popping transports and lower armor tanks/vehicles. Best taken in squads of 5 or 15 (I usually run 3 squads of 5, both for target saturation and leadership checks)

As for anti tank you have to ask yourself the following:

Do I mean anti tank OR are we talking anti AV14. It's widely known that Orks and AV14 don't like each other. There are 3 effective means to deal with AV14 in the Ork Codex: 1. Power Klaws (meaning you have to get into assault range of the tank you are trying to hit) 2. Deffrollas (if you aren't running Battlewagons, that's out of the equation) and 3. Tankbustas - I personally don't like Tankbustas due to the Glory Hog rule.

You then ask, "How do I deal with AV14 if I don't use tankbustas, deffrollas or can't get into Melee range with a power klaw" - Short answer is: You don't.

I find myself ignoring LR's most of the time and focusing the killy on the rest of my opponents army. It's a very viable strategy.

As for big guns, I don't use them. 90 points for a unit that MAY or MAY not (assuming we are talking Zzap guns) do as well as my lootas, isn't worth the cost IMO.

The Green baron kopta (single kopta with buzz saw and optional rokkits) is a tried and tested 1 shot killer. Scout, pick a target and smash it. Then die.

If your using a nob squad - you should be making it worthwhile with a painboy, cyborks and a few little bits of wargear to diversify the squad for wound allocation.

Big guns are actually cheap reliable and accurate - in other words, very good for orks! BS3 kannons with lots of wounds is great support for the boyz!

Actually it is closer to BS4 whenuse ammo runts

I use a good number of big guns with a good number of lootas. I can outshoot most if not in the first turn then the second. I find you need a fair number back to make shooting work. So at least two shooting units then some kannon fodder and assault fodder.
Yes, you have loota rules correct, I think it is clear in the codex somewhere or maybe I read it in their FAQ.

Looted wagons will be useless 1/6 of the time. I understand they can be good but I think it is more important to go for something without templates and more reliable.

Thumbs up to ignoring land raiders.

Also wounds allocation and pain boy will increase the price of nobs but also their awesomeness.

Have a good new year with your orks
