Sinister Chaos Marine

Hello all! I am new to the forums and would like some help on choosing my first army for this awesome hobby. I picked up the AoBR set about a year ago and enjoyed painting the space marines, but not so much the orks. however i really didnt like the look and feel of either of those armies. i have finally narrowed it down to the two armies that i would like to try and build, CSM or Necrons. I like the clean yet diseased look of CSM, and i really like the fluff. On the other side of the coin i think the Necrons are just as awesome. Something about killer robots in space just scream awesome for me.
So i guess i have two questions, is either army easier to play than the other? and second, if i were two pick CSM now, i have heard that 6th is on its way, and that CSM may have a new codex in the near future. would it be wise to wait for the new codex, or just hop on into it.
Thanks for the help everyone!

It really depends on what fluff you like more, Necrons bring an eternal, cold killers and a very egyptian in space feel (I'm actually pitching this as a positive thing) but are a very shooty army that kind of just fall over in CC.
Chaos by comparison is a far more balanced list with CC and shooty options, and you can pretty much guarantee that the core units (csm, termis, most vehicles etc) will serve a similar function with a new codex, and that most of the changes should leave your core army intact. Its also an option to field a variety of paint schemes from different gods armies.

I would recommend collecting Necrons first, seeing as they have just been updated, and they are pretty epic (not just in gaming terms, but also to paint, and their fluff is pretty cool).
Once the new CSM army comes out, then you should probably collect them
Just my opinion.
