Hey guys, i need ideas. I have recently gained a massive boost to my army due to a lucky boyfriend finding a charity shop that had no idea how much stuff they had in the window. Anyway i have gained another defiler which apart from a bad paint job seemed fine, i now have discovered its front leg is missing and need a replacement. But i would rather green stuff something cool looking than just buying a new leg. It was suggested i try wires and tentacles but i like to have choice.
Its currently in a khorne army with lots of berserkers, and a fair amount of possessed too so comedy peg legs wont fit for example. Any inspiration would be lovely.
Cheers

To go with the Khorne theme I'm thinking segments insect-like leg (hardened outside) with a end coming being in a blade. Something along the lines of this guy/gal's leg

Maybe add some limited armor plating on top the exoskeleton with some Khorne symbols.

You do mean one of the spike-footed legs, not the arm/pincer?

Options that spring to mind:
- leave it off to represent battle damage, paint the socket scorched and add some ripped wires. It can still walk just fine on the other 5 legs.
- a mechanical replacement/repair. Depends on what's in your bits box, of course. A sentinel/dread foot could be good. At the body end, either you'll need something ball-shaped to fit the existing socket, or replace the socket entirely with a new mechanical joint. Make an actual leg, about the size and shape of the standard legs, from other bits, using any other chaosy armour bits to cover gaps and ugly joints
- a biological replacement/mutation. You'll have to be careul with the look of this, as the Defiler has an otherwise mechanical exterior, but the Soul Grinder does set a precedent for a daemonic chaos machine having a partially biological exterior. You could GS a big muscly leg, but that might look strange - personally i'd go for a more insectile/crab-like look (but clearly biological rather than mechanical), again about the size and shape of the standard legs to retain the overall look.
