I wonder if you will like the idea of making a storage box in the dimensions of the paint rack, I eagerly wait mine but I plan to have some in a configuration of the one behind the other, the back elevated enough to be over the one in front it.

@Azazelx thanks for your purchase and support! Our team who heads that are working hard to send it out early! Worst case scenario as promised end of November. Thanks again we are nearly sold out. Had a crazy rush in the beginning, last few left.

Regarding the DZC boards on Robotech Tactics. It should work sweetly together. The buildings however will be a tad big. As we will be doing a special building pack only for this with Hawk Wargames which you can get separately. There are some pictures on our FB with Epic 40k showcased on the DZC Battle Board.

What do you mean by the buildings being too big? I'd have thought DZG was in a smaller scale than RT Tactics? What's the scale of DZG 1/100? I'll find out what the scale of Robotech is supposed to be.

DzC is 10mm scale.

"Separate building pack"? Will this be different than the Hawk Wargames buildings material, or still card but different designs?

@Azazelx, it's either to big or too small. ;P. Can't remember which way around. Either way the buildings look a tad odd with Robotech. The DZC cityscape battle board itself is a sweet match with Robotech.
DZC is 10mm.

@Psychotic Storm, certainly are looking into it for late 2014. But nothing solid yet

@Ritides, will be card material. Custom building pack for this KS only. Regarding existing or new designs will be confirmed as soon as I find out.

DZC is 1/180, or 10mm. Robotech is 1/300, or 6mm.

So it'd be like using 25mm terrain with 15mm figures, or 1/35 (54mm) terrain with 1/56 (28mm) figures

To be pedantic (only because I know some people get SUPER uptight about the particulars of scale, I'm not one of them), Robotech has been advertised as being 1/285.

My crew has been looking at getting a DZC cityscape set or two for when our RRT boxes arrive, but since this involved Palladium and the delivery has slid from "December" to "December/January" and progress seems to be slow as things bounce between Ninja Division, Palladium and Harmony Gold, if those building exist with this project and the price/S&H are right, I could see snagging one of these boards.

So, as I said months ago, I remain interested, and look forward to the KS going live in the next week or two.

Or should or would of rather than have, or even 've.

I fear GW might have a trademark on terrain made entirely of skulls!

lol . It will be one of 4 themes. Each theme will come in a set. So you have your battle board and terrain set (if you opt for the terrain set).

This just occurred to me... the title of this thread, and my impression, had been that the boards would come in sets of 6... but will you be offering a set of 4 boards for the Dropzone Commander board?

I think the table at GenCon only had 4 if I'm remembering right, and we've never played it on larger than a 4'x4' area... so only 4 boards and not 6 would be ideal for that.

All Games & Gears battle boards will come in 4 designs initially and then a further 2 design unlocked via stretch goals for each battle board. Unlocking all the designs will give each theme 6 designs that go together.

What exactly are we talking about here? This thing, but scaled up for 40k/Infinity?

Yes of the 5 themed battle boards

2 of them will be

Games & Gears Dropzone Commander City Scape battle board 10mm scale.

G&G:Hawk Wargames 28mm urban battlefield.

Basically scaled as you stated. The main adjustments will be wider road and depth as stated in the press release above.

Sounds good... but just to be clear, there will be a pledge level for just 4 of them, right?

@Ritides. No. The reason behind this a number of things. Keep the rewards simple. Insuring 4by4 players get all 6 designs which they can interchange. Keep prices super value for money for everyone. Helps and supports us in volume and maintain good price. Shortens the delivery time packing is standardized since everyone gets 6.

@Warboss. Next week!! We cannot wait either!!

Well, bummer.

I can understand standardized packaging, but if you've got terrain add-ons and the like you'll already have a variety of boxes... and it helps to have a reward level to let folks dip their toes in.

Yeah... bummer!

6 for $100 instead of 4 for...$70, $75?

What's not to like?

Provided, of course, that these boards turn out to be everything they're promised to be!
