Checking through ebay I stumbled upon a place called Discount Games Store and they do some interesting things with GW products such as bundle them into packs and allow same priced items to be exchanged for other products. Has anyone here tried them? Yes I realize they are a Top Seller and have a 99.9% positive feedback from a few thousand people but I feel safer knowing whether the dakka community has been apart of that (call me paranoid )

Anyways it seems that they have about 20-25% off depending on what you buy and free shipping but the army deals and other assorted packs are making my head spin. In attempting to get the best deals I have to compare almost everything with everything since even though it would be obvious to save more on bulk, it is not always the case. I've been looking to get some DE and while they have a pack of x40 infantry and x4 raiders, getting separate packs of x40 infantry with x4 raiders is actually about $3 cheaper! (yea yea its only $3)

I have bought from aicollectibles which does the same thing. I got 2x land raiders and 4x tactical squads in a bundle and it saved me 30 bucks. I know its not the same seller but I love getting bundles like these on eBay and I recomend it to everyone due to convenience and price, as long as they have a good seller rating I say go for it!

I have bought from this ebay store twice now - they are a solid, responsive fast shipper. I will continue to give them my business.

I've bought from this seller as well. The guy who runs it also makes the Chain Attack podcast about Warmachine. It's definitely a solid "by gamers for gamers" operation. Make sure to check out their Warmachine stuff as well as the prices are unbelievable.

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better.

If this is the same guy I think it is, most of the stuff is only sold at around 15% off. You can frequently find better deals from Neal or MiniatureMarket.

Never used it, never needed to. I support my local store. If I really needed to save a few dollars there are far better discounts to be gotten.

Well like I said, because of how they do things you may have to run around and try to find the best deal. The discounts seem to fluctuate from 15% to 25% or more

I posted a thread on this and got the same positive response, leading me to buy from them.

I highly recommend them - I swapped some stuff around and still got great shipping time, and a 20%-ish discount.

I bought 2 Attack Bikes from them through one of those auctions that go for super cheap. Had no issues.

As far to the east you can get without being in Canada.

I have ordered from them in the past, and am happy with the service and product. I really like that on some of them you can swap out other models for the ones that are in the auction. I would buy from them again.

Agreed. I won two auctions from Discount Games Store and they were fantastic but take note, I would never recommend any of their buy it now listings as US buyers can easily find better deals. The auctions on the other hand frequently close for great deals. Unfortunately they are running less auctions and more buy it now listings recently.

I saw his stuff, and first I thought it was a good deal. Then I went and priced up on Dark Sphere, and that was cheaper, definatly not worth it for UK/Europe because of postage costs....

Just out of curiosity, does this on-line store offer you a place to play at no charge? Until they do I'm going to support my LGS.

I disagree. I bought a Warmachine 2 player starter box. It was 72 dollars with free shipping. I scoured the net for a better deal and didn't find one. The best thing is I had 14 dollars in ebay bucks so I actually ended up paying 58 total.

They shipped super fast, and sold for a great price. Very happy using them, and would do so again.

Sorry, I should have specified their 40k items which is all I've thoroughly compared. Even the $200-$300 40k army packages they offer struggle to compete with places like mini market. I'm glad they got you a deal on Warmachine though!

They don't have the best discount on the web, but I think the fact they ship for free should definitely be considered.

I've purchased from them 4 times now. I always look to them when I want to start a new army or add a new contingent to my army (like rhinos/razorbacks). I cannot recommend them enough.

I have ordered from them several times.

One of their combo deals I bought was at a decent discount. A few days later it all arrived but was missing a Rhino and contained a note "Rhino was out of stock, we will have one shipped to you in a couple of days with some free stuff"

A couple days later, the Rhino showed up with a 2x NOS Dark Angels Upgrade Sprue along with parts to make the Rhino a Razorback.

In short, it was a fantastic experience and even when there was an issue, they rectified it in a very pleasant way.

I will buy from them again.

I second the fact that they handle any issues really well. I bought some tac marines and they were missing some bases. I contacted DGS and they sent me replacement bases and a free tac marine upgrade sprue!

I think I've bought one or two kits from them over the past few years. Are they the ones that take it out of the box and ship the sprues in the padded envelopes?

Hello!
I am Doc with the Ebay Discount_game_store
Just wanted to say thanks for all the great comments and that I am willing to answer any questions. Also, I would like to get your feedback.
I have wondered whether or not my listings with all their exchanges could be confusing for those looking for the best deals. It is hard to manage all of our selling methods and keep all the prices current so that the bulk deals are better than the individual lisitings. Especially once the exchanges are taken into account in our bulk listings.
I have created an excel spreadsheet of all our current prices. If you are interested, I would be happy to get it to you.
Keep those dice rolling,
Doc

In regards to the swap outs, it is a little confusing, but I still like it all the same. I don't always need, for example, 40 Kabalite Warriors, so the ability to switch them out (even for something from a different army!) is awesome.

I'm interested in the Excel sheet. I'll send you my email address.

Thanks.

Hi Doc, The only thing I found confusing with the Ebay Discount Games Store is the email list preferred customer discount/reward/rebate system. I could never get it to work, but it was less than a dollar rebate so I just gave up. Not a big deal, just confusing. I'd like to go on record and say that I wish you guys ran as many auctions as you used to!

Thanks for the feedback! That is not the first time I have heard that about the rewards system. It is an app that I added to my account -- like a smart phone app. If you have a specific question, I can send it to the administrator. Others have also reported issues, but I also know that lots of people are using it too.

We decided to discontinue the auctions because they were not that successful at the end of the day. I enjoyed doing it, but we were just spinning our wheels more than anything else.
