Does anyone know the fludd behind those wings I see the sisters of battle heroes with? How do they work? And is it actual flight or just jump?

The wings are just a jumpack design. They're fixed and made of metal. It's the same kind of deal with Eldar Swooping Hawks. Only DE Scourges have actual functioning wings I think.

The wings of faith worn by Living Saint Celestine are an ancient piece of technology which functions as an EXTREMELY capable jump pack. They are not fixed though, from the representations I've seen-- though Seraphim jump packs likely are for the most part, and they're certainly more winglike than astartes jump packs (also likely more agile as well, barring the crappy pdf codex)..

Hmmh, I don't recall haven't read anything saying the Wings of Faith are a piece of technology so far. The 3E 'dex noted that they "confer the same effect" as a jump pack, which kind of sounds like they aren't. Also, the description of Celestine emerging from the tomb only describes Saint Katherine's armour and blade as having been added to her, which means that she would either have had the wings all along or would only manifest them later on - it's the only explanation for something so spectacular missing from the text, imho.
Unless you're assuming they can completely fold back into the armour, as even the official miniature doesn't show any wings.
Personally, the one or two studio images that actually show the Saint make the wings look a bit "too organic" to be a piece of gear, so I'm rolling with the idea that they're part of her special abilities. The one true miracle, so to say (even if I'd attribute it to the Warp rather than some sort of divine magic).

The wings that the Seraphim have are just jump packs styled into wing shapes.
As for the Living Saint, based on the model at least it's more an imaginary set of wings. Seeing a woman with a cape held up like that would look like wings and give the image of angelic wings.
If it is a set of wings then it's likely just an ancient relic jump pack like the one Corax had. Mechanical wings that may or may not flap.

I believe the Living Saint, specifically, has wings of golden light that are part and parcel of her new form, not a piece of wargear or even something she may have possessed before her martyrdom and resurrection.
They're wings, huge, feth-off angelic wings of golden psyker-light-power, granted by the Emperor as a sign of His favor.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised. |

That's certainly possible.
