Got some Immortals box for Christmas!
So we all know death marks are the new thing but in a given army. Lets say something with a royal court or Imotekh etc. What is best overall? How should I build my first box of immortals. As immortals with those guass blasters or Deathmarks?
Why for which choice?

Well, first of all, what else do you have? Because if you have no troops otherwise, then your choice is made for you.
I like running two units of 5x Deathmarks with a Harbinger of Despair w/ Abyssal Staff & VoD. They are absolutely perfect at taking out pesky units of Long Fangs, or Dev squads, or death stars. (Calgar & Honour Gaurd, for example )
But when it comes to troops choices, I always default to Immortals with Tesla Carbines over Warriors.

Well I got an Imotek that a friend got for christmas. He got two by mistake so he just gave me one.
I am getting warriors soon...maybe two boxes worth and in about two months I can afford me a ghost ark.

A bit of it looks interesting. I will have to consider this.
Finesse armies are harder for me but does that mean than multi death marks mark thing means they can target multi units with 2+ when shooting?

Supposidly. It's making me want to buy a box or two of deathmarks ... Im just terrified of an FAQ to nerf that combo :(
Otherwise the abyssal staff + deathmarks is still a very effective combo on its own

Each deathmark squad can pick a different target, if that's what you are asking.

Yeah, even if that abusive trick gets taken away, having two Deathmark units still means you get to mark 2 different groups, and all Deathmark units get the 2+ against those units, no matter which Deathmark unit actually made the mark.
