Okay so i have been out of the game for awhile first i just want to ask a few questions. We can no longer take veteran sergeants to make our troops fearless? secondly, i am seeing all these units that are not mentioned in the codex example : mortis dreadnought, where can find info on new units not in the codex or updated rules about the dark angels? also, if i recall correctly being in the 5th edition, chaplains are not listed as being fearless in the special rules, wtf? thanks anyone who can sort my life out lol

The most recent codex (4th Edition) and the FAQ from the GW website (has some errata and amendments to bring DA somewhat in line with 5th edition) is what you're looking for.

Veteran Sergeants don't exist. Mortis Dreadnoughts don't exist. And no, Chaplains aren't fearless. They'd lose it if joined to a non-fearless unit anyway.

Solution for playing Dark Angels:
1. Buy Codex: Space Marines
2. Paint your Marines green

The "current" Dark Angels codex is a mess. It's outdated and from a mercifully brief period where GW axed options left and right. Most of what you're missing can be found in the current Codex: Space Marines, including Mortis pattern dreadnoughts with autocannons. Chaplains might not be listed as fearless in their special rules, but they have another special rule that makes them and the squad they're with fearless.

DA codex atm is a mess unless you run the double wing tourney army of:
Sam
Bel
X amount of termies with SS/TH and missles
X amount of bikers
Typhoon missle speeder alone per unit choice

In which case all of it is fearless enough. Now if you are just into deathwing use the Space Wolf codex, if you are just into bikes use the Vanilla codex, general army use vanilla codex. It is a dark dark time in the universe when the 1st Chapter gets no love, everyone does everything better than us and we have a ton of units we don't have in our book. There is talk with 6th coming out this year we make get a hook up next Xmas or early 2013, till then good luck.
