I have a couple old white dwarfs (from mid to early nineties) and was wondering if they were worth anything?

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Closer to about £700,000.
The AUD is doing a lot better than many other currencies (but then we don't have to be bailed out by the EU either).
Depends on the issues. Then, as now, various issues had varying quality issues (it's just that there's a lot LESS decent content in post 2000 issues).

They're generally still worth 5-10 bucks an issue, but I've seen some go for higher.

Early to mid 90's isn't particularly old-school where White Dwarf is concerned. They're not worth a lot unless you find someone who wants a specific article badly enough.

Last week I paid 3'50€ for a 2001 Spanish issue. I collect the Spanish issues, my first one ever was #12, now I'm missing only two. (Any Spanish WD owner over there? I'm looking for issues 14 and 28)

Some of the old inserts can get you a few bucks on feebay.
For example: right after the current Land Raider sculpt came out (or right before), they had a poster insert of one, showing the various parts, compartments, etc.
I think I had to come up off of $10 to get the one I've got. The only guy who had one was in the UK. I had to buy the magazine, but asked him to keep the magazine and just send me the poster. LOL

I've got them as far back as about 23. Sometimes I read them for inspiration. Sometimes I just read them and weep for what GW did to a perfectly good magazine.

"There's a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious—makes you so sick at heart—that you can't take part. You can't even passively take part. And you've got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you've got to make it stop. And you've got to indicate to the people who run it, to the people who own it that unless you're free, the machine will be prevented from working at all" Mario Savio |
