@ benvickery, I would definitely recommend the model, it was a blast to paint.

A friend of mine pointed out a few things that needed touching up, namely adding icons on the gun plates, picking out the rivets in silver and brightening up the eye lens a bit. Missed the daylight for taking pics but here are some lit by a lamp, so shadows are a bit harsh...

All I can say is sweet paint job.

Looks great! My one issue is the mouth. While you did a great job blending into the fleshier lip tone, it's indistinguishable from the gum color and rather close to that of the teeth. The result is a sort of fish-faced affair, like he cut off his upper lip and pumped the lower one full of collagen. Not a deal-breaker, but with the face being such a focal point, I can't help but be irked.

Badrukk is my favorite Ork model that has been released, and this one that you've painted is *exactly* how I'd imagined it to look.

Amazing work, and it's a good thing you added those glyphs and picked out the bolts, it did a lot towards making this a much cooler looking mini!

simply incredible. The attention to detail is absolutely astounding.

I have one critique and it is something I fight with as well particularly in larger surfaces.

The yellow looks a bit "dirty", and I always give the excuse "its a bit orky", on the same token your yellow looks a bit better than mine (looking at the hand pole). I was wondering what you do for your yellow. I usually use sunburst yellow (which for some reason stripes upon application for me where other paints do not) and then hit it with gryphon sepia wash or devlan wash (depending) and then touch up.

@ oadie, you have a point. It is a bit fudgy around that area. It could probably be rectified by highlighting the gums so they're a brighter pink, and the teeth too. Neither of those bits are actually highlighted at all at the moment, just basecoated and shaded.

@ DrCrook, the yellow is intentionally 'dirty' as you say. I did it by basecoating the area using Vallejo Game Color 'Heavy Goldbrown' over a black undercoat (Citadel Iyanden Darksun is a good substitute if you use their paints). It took three or four coats thinned about 50/50 with Vallejo Thinners Medium. I then gave it two or three thin coats of Citadel 'Ogryn Flesh' wash to shade it and give it that slightly orange-y colour. I find Devlan Mud is too dark and makes it look a bit too dirty. I then highlighted it with Vallejo Model Color 'Flat Yellow', then another smaller highlight with Vallejo Model Color 'Golden Yellow'.

good model mate! Can I give you two tips for the yellow? Add some brown blendigs in the lower part of the plates for the shadows and profile the edges with yellow plus white.. it will be better!
