Okay, this may sound a bit odd, but Ive decided to make my IG army my first really conversion/themed army. And at 1850 pts, this is a serious commitment, so Im really trying to just throw my ideas together as of now. And Id like some help gathering those ideas. Ive been planning either an Guard army based around the idea of a planet that is protected by the Space Wolves and therefore slightly influenced by the Space Wolves ideas and fighting style. Or an army that is very skilled at killing Orks. Like an army that is very anti-ork. But Im also really open to other ideas of the like. So first Id like to see what you guys think of these ideas, and maybe ask what you think would be some cool ideas for a IG project!

I really like your Idea of having an army/regiment in close ties with the space wolves it would add a lot of background to the army. If your looking for a type of guard that hates orks to the core, I might suggest Valhallans. From what I've read in the Ciaphis Cain novels they are soldiers that hate orks. I'm just spit balling but maybe you could have your army based on a planet near the Valhallan system so they also have a hate on for orks,but also make the planet a minor Space wolf recruiting world so they have a presence there?

Hmm....I dont like the Valhallan body style though.....so maybe....regular IG bodies and heads and what not, but maybe add some wolf icons to the vehicles and gear, and then maybe add ork bits to the bases, or add some ork trophies to their gear and bases to show that they've managed to murder a whole lotta orks? But what for the paint scheme? Red and brown? Light grey and brown? Light Blue and gold? Hmm....I dont know.

Those Armeggedon Ork Hunters look awesome. They would be pretty cool to incorporate into an army of soldiers that hate orks. I'm not sure of the colour scheme? I guess it kind of depends on where they a fighting or where they are from.

Hahaha, although I will admit that those guys are awesome, Im more of going for the 'veteraned in ork country' look. Guys who have spent most of their existences hunting and killing orks. But at the same time, arent like Catachan crazy. Influenced by Space Wolves, yes. Space Wolves themselves.....no. After all, these guys are my 1850 vet spam tourney army.
