Okay, so i haven't started this yet but I have NO IDEA how to do camo schemes at all let alone on the orks without it looking like they suffer from varioust STD's. Any suggestions for this klan's paint scheme?

Look at modern cammo patterns - find the weirdest wildest colors you can and use them - I'm doing mine in a modified US WWII/Tarnfleck pattern with such color combos as yellow, purple, red black, white and pink.

Dey is orkz after all.

Fluffwise, Blood Axes supersticiously believe that imperial camo patterns have some lucky or magical quality - few orks actually grasp the idea of hiding, I suppose Kommandoes would be the main exception, although even many of them probably wear 'accidental' camo.in that their clothes are so filthy they just naturally blend in with the local mud.

So a Blood Axe will happily loot any imperial camo fabric he happens to find, but may use it inappropriately (e.g. jungle camo on a snowy battlefield) or will be equally happy to use fabric that isn't really camo at all (e.g. a brightly floral patterned tablecloth). Some Blood Axe clothing is presumably looted IG uniforms haphazardly resewn by Grots, with equally unpredictable results.

So you can't go wrong with any of the IG uniform camo schemes, especially if you mix and match patterns (e.g. a desert vest combined with jungle trousers). Then go crazy with colours and patterns, e.g. i once did an ork in floral trousers. Anything that looks too bright, just dull it down with 'dirt' and stains.

Tank camo schemes could easily be used as inspiration for cloth camo.

Those IG schemes StoneRaizer linked look good - only thing I'd do is use completely inappropriate colors on a few pieces - like the orks had the grots make them.

I've got a few gallery pics with my camo scheme. It's actually fairly easy to do. Take a gander if you like.

I use blue in mine for the luck, but you could easily use any color combination.

It might also be cool to give boyz in the same squad completely different camo schemes. One jungle, one urban, one snow etc. etc.

Totally. Orks not only don't understand camouflage, they also don't understand humans' concept of uniforms - other than perhaps wanting to imitate the clothing of someone they admire, they have no reason to dress alike. And ork clothing is all made by hand (by grots) so two items of clothing will never be identical. That said, Blood Axes are more likely to wear similar uniforms than other clans, but their idea of "uniformity" is probably something like a whole unit each wearing something made from the same or similar cloth, e.g. one in a tiger-striped hat, one in a tiger-striped tunic, one in tiger-striped trousers, etc.

Splattered With Acrylic Paint

I just do composites shapes with random squares attached to the edges, it's best done in grey then washed with athonian camoshade.

For my WW2 themed bloodaxes I just take random camo patterns and apply them to the odd bit of armour/uniform. The only guys who have camo paste are my komandos and they just have black lines painted on.

Here's one I prepared earlier:-

Grey trousers, add some irregular dark green polygons, sharpen up any wavy edges with the original grey, highlight to taste. I don't do washes, too messy and random, but I understand some like the effect.
