After finally receiving the plasmaguns I had ordered and the valks, i'd like to know any last impressions you have of this army list:

HQ :

Lord Commissar with Plasmapistol

Troops :

Veteran Squad 1 with 3 Plasmaguns and Heavy Bolter

Veteran Squad 2 with 3 Plasmaguns and Autocannon

Fast Attack :

Vendetta with Heavy Bolters

Valkyrie with MRP

Ok, I've exaggerated with plasma but i really love the look of the weapons and the painting opportunities they present!

The idea is of a small elite force, fluffy but reasonably competitive ( at Game store level, no tourneys!).
The Lord commisar may not be the best choice but wanting to have a completely mounted army i couldn't take the CCS (which if I happen to have fun with this list, will be included along with another valk in 750 point games !
Hopefully one vendetta should be enough AT at this point level and concerning the heavy weapons in squads, except for the coolness of the models, they could turn out useful, giving me range in an essentially short ranged army.

Finally one question : do you think 600pts is a level at which people play? Or do I risk not finding many people willing to play? Thanks

Otherwise I was unsure between this list and a 500 point one including 2 chimeras, 2 meltavet squads and a pimped plasma CCS on a vendetta/valkyrie. It's less expensive and maybe more effective but I thought I'd loose the cool factor of having two birds on the table...

600pts is indeed an odd point level. Most Combat Patrol lists are 400pts with limiters on it. Such as no Psychic powers, no 3 Wound characters, no named characters, no AV value more that 34 (so AV 12 Front, side, and AV 10 rear equals 34), and you do not have to follow the Force Organization chart, but need at least two troops. There may be other rules depending on the area you play at, so find out. In my area, there is a Combat Patrol ran at least twice a month, as it is just that popular, using the Adepticon rules.

With that in mind, I suggest create a 400pt list and a 500pts list. I think you can use your troops, but the Vendetta/Valkyrie might be just too expensive at those levels.

Instead of the autocannon and heavy bolter, I'd consider some camo cloaks or at least something to make them more survivable. I ran something simmilar but at 500 pts. I would turn the valk with the MRP into a vendetta and drop the bolters from the current vendetta. That gives you 6 TLLC and 6 PG.

Ok yeah the 6 PG and PP is overkill most likely, but you never know.
