This a Combat Patrol list? Are you expecting to see AV 14? Most Combat Patrols usally limit armor, so let us know one way or another. Also, your at 520pts with your list.

I would not do a blob without a Commissar, power weapons, and melta bombs and one shooty way to deal with AV 14... (if needed).

I defininatily would not put plasma on BS 3 troops. I also think one Chimera will not be doing alot for you. Either drop it or re-right your list to use 3 of them. 500pts is not the place to hybrid.

No fist on the CCS. It is still a 5 man squad and it will get hammered in CC before you swing. And then it is still Str 6.

I would drop the Vox network, specially if you have your PCS Officer with a Plasma Pistol.

Never mix special weapons. Also remember that for selecting special weapon/heavy weapon combos. I also feel empty special weapon slots are a crime. You did fine and filled all of them, I am just making the statement for others wwho might be reading this. Special weapons are the backbone of Guard, use them and make sure you use the right weapon for the right BS.

Try this on for size, using your list as a base minus the Chimera...

CCS - 120pts
2x Plasma guns, LC, Camo Cloak

PCS - 50pts
4x Flamers

PIS - 120pts (blob)
Commissar, 2x PW, melta gun, Melta bomb

PIS - 75pts (blob)
PW, Melta gun, Melta bomb

Vets - 135pts
3x Plasma guns, LC

500pts

For this list, you hold back the CCS and Vets to hold a rear Objective (in cover) and just attempt to give 'Bring it Down!' to both units to take out vehicles/walkers. Since they are BS 4, even if you fail you probably still have a good chance to hit if the Orders fail. If your facing a gunline list in cover, instead issue 'Fire on my Target!' to make them re-roll successful cover saves.
Meanwhile the Blob and the PCS move forward to take out aggressors and take other objectives. Use the PCS to issue 'Move!x3' to the blob Turn 1 (the Commissar means they will probably make that Ld check to get the Orders) and burn out any cover save dependant troops camping a objective. Then use the PCS to camp the captured Objective and use the blob to keep on the attack.

If you want the Chimera, you can drop the Camo Cloaks. For the vets, reduce the plasma guns to melta guns and drop the LC. I would also give them shotguns. To make a rear camper, change the PCS to a AC and 2x Sniper Rifles to take the place of your Vets.

I think my list gives you the 'shooty-ness' you crave (hey, 5 BS 4 Plasma and 2 LCs are nothing to sneeze at!) and you still have a 20 man power blob and PCS to attack with.

IF you do the Chimera alternate build, you still have two shooty units in the rear, but their effectiviness goes down. Your attacking units are much better, but I can't see to much taking out the blob at that level.

The reason why I suggest Sniper Rifles over something like GLs is the simple fact that it is a static unit because of the AC. The Sniper Rifles also have the ability to Rend. If you roll a 6 to wound, they turn into AP 2 and thus ignore FNP. This right here makes Sniper Rifles better, as you have a chance to ignore Power Armor that a Krak nade from the GL just can't give you. Against vehicles they get that extra d3 on the Rend, so Str 3 +1d6, +1d3 if you roll a 6 on that d6 for the ability to glance AV 12. I would give the GL a better chance to hurt AV 10 or 11, but the Str 6 still makes this a unreliable roll where your looking for a 6 anyways.

Hope this helps or gives you food for thought...
