The dread rides in the stormraven. The assault marines deep strike in, the baals outflank, the rest of the army is held in reserve. Obviously meant to go second. If the enemy can't shoot, I can deploy and try to wittle him down with heavy bolter and assault cannon fire as he approaches... otherwise I'm going baals deep with the assaults.

That list is a fairly baalsy move.

I have one question.

Why do you get twin-linked autocannons but I have to stick with a measily single autocannon? Admittedly, you cost something like 60 points more for the baal predator.

And, are your proper predators really 100 points for the punch? That kinda sucks, 'nilla are only 85 like that.

I like the list anyway. It seems like its an attampt at not being so spammish, but then again you're simply spamming different things less often.

They are twin linked assault cannons as far as i remember.

In fact, its an all-comers list and seems to be rather competitive. How about one separate Sanguinary Priest with jump packs to provide more survivability to the Assault Marines and giving the Librarian blood lance? By the way, dakka Preds are rather bad (unless you face DE), while auto/las Preds are much better.

Hmmm... another variant of this list involves me dropping the honor guard, and upgrading the predators to auto/las, upgrading the librarian to the epistolary, and adding a jump priest.

Well, the HG can have a vital role in your army so that I'd keep it.

yea, but what would I remove to make room for the lascannons on the predators?

its 70 points to get lascannons over heavy bolters... and I don't want to drop a predator.
