Subject: How do I mass strip difficult paint and greenstuff?

Okay, Ive decided to begin the first steps of my IG army, but Ive realized that the person I got these from, has managed to put greenstuff all over some of the smaller details, over a few of the faces, and has even made a mockery of this once great metal sergeant. So, Ive already tried Simple Green, and scrubbed like a wild man without too great of results, so Im afraid some of his painting may have even been dipped. Im nearly sure it wasnt varnished, as I know what varnish feels like, but they are somewhat shiny. Anyways, does anybody have any clue as to how to quickly mass strip Guardsmen of any paint and greenstuff they might have on them?

I hear LA totally awesome works.

Would maybe an electic tooth brush work? Heck, Ive even heard that Brake Fluid may work. If it works that may be a better idea for me.

If they are metal, any paint stripper will work. It may melt the bases though. For plastic, soak them in Simple Green/LA Totally Awesome/Purple Power for a day or two. THEN scrub like mad.

go to the dollar store and pick up some LA Totally Awesome. It is a cleaning solution kinda like simple green, but it is pale yellow. Throw your models in it and let it soak for 24 hours or so...and watch the paint fall off of metal models. Sometimes the plastic models can be a bit finicky, but I have yet to run across a model that stuff wouldnt strip. As far as the greenstuff goes....I am not sure what will get all of that stuff off other than some elbow grease and a hobby knife

Electric toothbrushes are great. Although I like a nice hard bristle tradional toothbrush for stripping, so I can put a good helping of elbow grease on the models
For Metal, use Nail Polish Remover. For plastic, Simple Green works combined with rigorous scrubbing.
If you're a real dare devil, give Denatured alcohol a test. Doesn't melt plastic. Smells AWFUL though. I use my m40 gas mask whenever I scrub. h

Hahaha, alright. Then Ill just let them soak longer, and put more elbow grease in it. I will look in to the LA's Totally Awesome too. Hmmm....but what about the Greenstuff?

Get you some sculpting tools. The 5th one from the right is my favourite. Also if you can get one like this that is really small, it is invaluable for making the holes in nurgle flesh: . Buy your green stuff from Gale Force 9, not GW. Way more for a better price. Also to keep the green stuff from sticking to your tools, fingers, etc. you should use some sort of lubricant. I know people who use water. Some people will wet the green stuff to make it easier to smooth out. I have a bad habit of licking my sculpting tools. Other people like using something like KY jelly...

Oh...well I would just get something like a sculpting tool and just pick it off. Also after you have soaked a model to remove the paint, it will also loosen up the greenstuff. The good thing about it greenstuff is, the bond isn't very strong and the stuff can peal off easy.

For those metal models, screw nail polish remover and jump straight to the heavy artillery:
Lacquer Thinner. Soak it for 24 hrs, and you're mini will be shinier than the day it was made.
And yep, a sculpting tool such as a pick or some such will do for scratching out crap from those hard to reach spots.
