This is my version of a Blood Angels Descent of Angels army list. I am not a truly "compettitive" player, although I do enjoy having a good army.
Hq
Librarian with jump pack, unleash rage and sanguine sword x2 250
Elites
3 Sanguinary priests, with jump packs and infernus pistols 270
Troops
Assault Squad 10 man, with 2 melta guns, infernus pistol and power fist x3 750
Fast Attack
Land speeder with assault cannon and multi melta 100
Land speeder with assault cannon and multi melta 100
Vanguard veterans 10 man (note, they will always combat squad so I can assault more units and cause more havoc) with jump packs, melta bombs, 6 power weapons and 2 power fists 530
So, the tactics are pretty simple, the librarians go with different assault squads, the sanguinary priests do the same, the vanguard veterans split up and tackle expensive, squishy things and the land speeders cause general mischief, shooting tanks and strafing infantry.
I am confident that I have enough anti tank, with 6 melta guns, 6 infernuses, 8 melta bombs, 5 power fists, 3 multi meltas and 3 assault cannons, and as the nature of my army is assauls, I naturally have enough anti infantry power. However, I am worried that my list has issues that I am not looking at. The only one I can see is holding objectives, because taking them should be easy enough. Thanks for reading, and please leave critique!!!
I'm not a
BA player, so take this with a grain of salt.
Drop a Libby. Two supporting
HQs is not great. its ineffective and expensive.
No issue with the priests - keep them out of combat. They will get wrecked pretty early on otherwise.
TBH, I don't understand the fist on an assault squad sergeant. I mean, you're getting 3 S8
AP 1 attacks before combat anyway. Do you really need an extra 3?
If you dropped those fists and a libby, you could have an extra assault squad. More bodies is never a problem for
SM [no matter what people tell you.]
Assault cannon and melta is a bad mix. Consider Typhoon in place of assault cannons, or heavy bolters in place of assault cannons.
That said, I'd consider a complete removal of them They don't really add to a fast paced attack force like
DOA. If you must use them, consider suicide tanks, such as they flat out first turn, get close and then do a two-melta shot into the most dangerous enemy you can see.
TBH, the list is pretty solid. most armies rely so heavily on their armour that you don't need to worry. Don't expect assault marines to do much, remember that marines all lack in combat for some reason - even with three attacks, you won't be doing as much as you might hope.
