Finally getting around to having the time to start playing 40k a lot more and starting to get together my new IG army! So my first outing with them is actually going to be at a tourny here soon. Its a 750 pt limit with a special rule..You are only able to take ONE fast attack, elite or heavy support.

Here is what my list currently looks like and is really the solid core/basic theme for my army so it works out. Infantry and treads! I think what have as of now is pretty solid. However, I have 80 pts that I have no clue what to do with so was wondering if I could get a little help.

You could combine your infantry squads and form a small blob of 20. You can then use your leftover points to buy commissars for each of the two blobs. that'll give you less kill points and make your squads stronger in close combat.

He did that, that is what he means by 'Comi', short for Commissar. Yeah, he did a poor job on that, so no biggie.

I will point out now your 100pts short, as your list is 650pts. Lucky for you, this means you can fill in those empty special weapon slots. I would also avoid putting Lascannons in the PCSs, as they are only BS 3. Give them ACs and 2x Sniper Rifles or GLs (I prefer Sniper Rifles because I consider them better due to Rend). Each PCS should cost 50pts.

Give your CCS the Lascannon and 2x Plasma guns. Your CCS should now cost 100pts. With your last 50pts, get Power weapons for your two Commissars and Melta bombs for your blob sergeants (4 of them) for a total of 40pts, leaving you with 10pts left.

Spend it on what you want... either a plasma pistol for a squad, or two melta bombs for the PCS, or a upgrade for your LRBT, such as a Heavy Stubber. I would get Bolt Pistols for all of your PIS Sergeants (x4) and a Bolter for your CCS Officer for a even 10pts, splitting up the points to give your units greater firepower.
