looks good. Snipers are questionable due to their low kill rate but you cant take another tact squad so they'll have to do.

Maybe dropping the LRR for Land Speeders, can get 3 for 210 points with MM + HF. just a thought

Hi.
I think the base is good, but I will suggest some tweaks.


Your list is actually 1032 points.

Land Raider Redeemer -240
Multi-melta - 10


A good tank, can be very dangerous for your enemy in 1000p, but they usualy have meltaguns, and then it is a bit risky.
It is in fact 25% of your army. I would remove it.

That gives you 250p to play with.

Scout Squad - 75
-Snipers
-Missile Launcher - 10
-Camo cloaks (4) - 12
-Telion* 50


I am playing an scout army myself, so I am familiar with scouts.
First, you dont need Telion AND Camo cloaks, as the FAQ makes Telions stealth effect his unit as well.

I think they might be useful, but they are situatonal, and you can`t afford that in only 1000p in my oppinion.
Removing them, gives you another 147p to play with.

I usually combat squad my taq squads, throwing my 5 guys with meltas into the Rhino hunting other vehicles.
Depending on the meta where you play, I think it might be something to consider for you as well.

The power fist is a good and a bad choice. If you get hunted down by a MC or Dread, you are guaranteed dead without, but you will probably not have much left even with it. I prefer combimelta on sergant in low point games, here you even get reroll

I don`t feel like half the price is a good investment to prevent 1 of 6 outcomes on a dice roll. At least not when it is not dedicated CC units.

1 Tac Squad in Rhino with:

Scouts can outflank, Aphastrike or just reserve for late game objective grabbing depending on mission and deployment.
With some luck, the LSS can shoot one tank, while the scouts melta and powerfist charge another tank.

TFC kill hordes, and even MEQ because of the large amounts of hits you can get. Pop Rhino, 4 x S6 blast on the passengers in the wreck

Combat squad Tac squad. Melta + combimelt in Rhino
Multimelta in Bolster defence improved ruin(TFC comes with Techmarine)(Place objective here when possible).

Terminators makes scary faces with Vulcan and either act as counter assault or to punch hole for your rhino.

MM bikes run around killing armour.

He actually can not add to much at this points range, as there are less guns to twin linked.

I like Vulkan a lot and with the other list mentioned above there are plenty of weapons that will get the re-roll. I'm not sure I would strictly go with the melta's all the time because I really like flamers for infantry units. It really just depends on how many tanks and heavy armor I see at 1000 points.

Though I could certainly see myself just using my current Librarian HQ for 500 points. But that would take more time to build an army around.

I like this list a lot actually. Just a few questions and comments though:

I would probably give that cc scout squad shotguns and the sergeant the combi-flamer. Since the land speeder storm will already have the melta shots. Plus I think it's more reliable to have a combi-flamer shot than a combi-melta since these guys will be infiltrating early and trying to drop as many units as possible.

And I'm also thinking it might be useful to give the tac squad a flamer just to have that extra edge on infantry. Then again I have no idea how many tanks I'm going to see at 1000 points so it could very well be worth it to have all the melta's.

Also, I'm unfamiliar with bikes. I've never really been fond of them. What are the benefits of them?

And i LOVE the thunderfire cannon. I'm the only person I know who has liked it haha

The reason I maximize the melta in my list, is because I normaly play against pretty hard lists. I would not be supprised if I met a list like:
BA - 1000 points
Librarian - Blood Lance - Shield Of Sanginius
Sangiunary Priest, combi melta 60
Sangiunary Priest, combi melta 60
Assault Squad, Meltagun, Razorback, Twinlinked Heavy Flamer
Assault Squad, Meltagun, Razorback, Twinlinked Heavy Flamer

2 Wounds T4(5). First round, turbo boost to get 3+ coversave. Next round, drive into melta range and kill whatever tank you want to
The real benifit is to be able to get into enemy lines, kill tanks more or less reliable, without sacrificing a scoring unit. If it survives, or you don`t meet any tanks, you can contest objectives later in the game. Turboboosting to get the 3+ cover save, usually forces your opponent to use a bit of firepower to get rid of it.

I really like them, My lists are normally optimized against MECH and MEQ, so it gives me the possibility to clear hordes as well. And I think it is a bargin for 100 points.
