I've said this on another forum and I'll say it here. The folks running this tournament are amazing. If there is even the slightest chance that the $30 price might turn you away, just know that the put on an amazing competitive yet extremely laid back tournament. I really miss living in the area!

Blog seems to be down...and no info on the store's website...So I have the following questions:

How will the winners be determined, as there will probably be around 4 players that are undefeated at the end of the tourney...is paint score taken into account...any comp. score...etc...
What will prize support be like?
Is this tourney linked to the NOVA invitational?
What scenarios will be utilized?...mostly book or something like BAO or NOVA...etc...
Will Imperial Armor 2nd edition 40k approved models/rules be allowed?
Thanks for any help ahead of time from someone who knows about this tourney...

It is a far drive for me but I will attend if the paradigm is good...

Thanks again...

in past years, paint and sportsmanship have added into the final totals for everyone. TONS of prizes.....never in short supply the 3 times I've been so far. They will post about 6 senarios on their forum and use 4 of them for the event. Each table WILL have a river running through it lengthwise and they usually count as difficult and dangerous. I believe you have to join their forum before being able to view the pages.

It isn't linked to the NOVA that I know of but it is linked to the Throne of Skulls in Memphis for sure. I believe there's NO IA2 allowed, only current codex and the WD sisters.

Widowsbane are you in the 40k group on FB from Louisville?

Cheers,

Phillip

I was up there at "Pet Shop" for the ARD BOYZ semi-finals. GREAT group of guys! I had a great time and I look forward to making it back up there again sometime soon.

You should need to come down here for the BFSR. It's an AWESOME event, I would say it's just as good as the Maul in the Maul if not better.

hope to see you there!

Widowsbane wrote:Blog seems to be down...and no info on the store's website...So I have the following questions: Got the link fixed

How will the winners be determined, as there will probably be around 4 players that are undefeated at the end of the tourney...is paint score taken into account...any comp. score...etc... There will be scores for paint, sportmanship and battle points. There will also be several winners based including Overall scores, Paint, and Sportmanship.
What will prize support be like? Since we are part of the Games Workshop GT Circuit this year, prize support will be from GW in the form of gift vouchers in addition to trophies. In previous years Civil War Calvary Swords, Pistols, Artilleryman's Swords have been given out. This year will be no different!
Is this tourney linked to the NOVA invitational? No.
What scenarios will be utilized?...mostly book or something like BAO or NOVA...etc... scenarios will be posted at the Grand Adventures Comics forums soon!
Will Imperial Armor 2nd edition 40k approved models/rules be allowed? No Imperial Armour will be allowed.
Thanks for any help ahead of time from someone who knows about this tourney...

It is a far drive for me but I will attend if the paradigm is good... It will be awesome!

Shane runs a great event down there every year. Our FLGS owner partnered with him last year to run the ATC.

You wouldn't happen to be our mustache wearing historian, would you?!? Either way, thank you for the kind words! And $30 isn't much. It breaks down to about $5 a game and $10 for lunch. With the possibility to take home some kick butt prizes!

I can't wait for this!!!!!!!!!! Getting my Night Lords done and WILL be ready to ROCK!

I can't believe how quickly it sold out this year! We increased the size by half and sold out in half the time.

Now I'm totally curious who some of the people in this thread are...

My DE are almost ready in all their purple and red glory!

Rules question, can I use my Award from last year (engraved calvary sabre) against my opponents this year?

As long you cover the deposit / cleaning costs, I am all for the use of swords during the tourney. However, I do not recommend threatening the poor helpless judge putting all the scores into the computer
