Then, for the final units either:

Land Speeder Squadron
2 Land Speeders
4 Multi-Meltas
160 points

Attack Bike Squad
3 Attack Bikes
3 Multi-Meltas

Its a sacrifice of higher susceptibility to small arms fire, and a single melta shot for the opportunity to move 12" and fire 3 melta shots in place of 2.

Also, the flat out cover save is slightly better for the attack bikes - 3+ cover save if they go flat out.
New list, optimized for close fighting.

I think one main advantage of this army is that lot of players wont know how to aproach killing it. Also you said that the main problem for you would be terminators, but you could easily wipe a squad with that many meltas/assault cannons! Even if this isnt an effective army, i bet its tons of fun to play.

I see some merit in the bike/LR list. For opponents with anti-mech the only target they have is the landraider which is pretty resilient until it hits melta range.

If the bikes end up taking all the S6/7 shooting then each unit can take 2-3 wounds before you start to lose any special weapons which gives your shooting some resilience. I would want some melta bombs as well in case of dreads. Relic blade on captain is a good choice here.

I'm changing the list a little I'm realising that a 40 point Attack bike isn't all that useful with a heavy bolter.

can't you have MM on the attack bike?

I thought its free, or is that only dark angels.

It's a 10 pt upgrade, but 50 points for a MM attack bike is still good value.

^ Yup. Instead of having two Normal attack bikes in squads, I have two with MM in a squad - they'll be like a suicide squad, getting rid of small annoyances like Land raiders or other AV13+ that doesn't have immunity to melta.

Plenty of fire power, you've got speed, you've got a little long range fire power, a lot of mid-short range fire power, and a great assault unit in Vulkan and the Termies.
What points total is this list supposed to be? You don't seem to have said, i've worked it out at just under 2200, which seems strange, I may have done it wrong (but don't like the fact I had to add it up at all, sorry if that seems a little rude, but I think if your posting a list you should say what the total is).

Its going to be fragile, at 2000+ points, requiring good positioning and focus fire. The only thing I would recommend would be trying to get one or two of your bike squads plasmas, it gives you a bit more mid-close range powerful fire power, if your going in with flamers, you might not kill that much unless your playing Nids (and maybe Orks, Guard infantry, but they might have huge squads), thats where the focus fire and positioning comes in.

Also, i'm not keen on mixing MM and Typhoon ML on the Land Speeders, I would drop the MMs to be honest, keeps the Land Speeders as a long range threat, maybe meaning they survive longer, as there will be closer threats, but if your getting them within 24 or 12" to shoot the MM as well, your just asking to die.

Sorry brother, I should've listed the points cost. It was an oversight on my part, you are right.

I'm over by 200 points I miscalculated.

I'm thinking of going whirlwind rather than Land speeder Typhoons.

TBH, I'd rather go all Multi-melta for the Land speeders. I'm just not keen on finding Multi-meltas to go underneath the speeder.

I'm not sure on Whirlwinds, plus you can only take one if you are keeping the preds.
Maybe you need to work out wether you want the close/long range balance, or you could just keep it all close range?

Well, two whirlwinds is the same price as my current preds. They have decent range and a higher potential to do damage than the predators, if far more inaccurate.

I'm honestly in favour of maximum 24" range, but I'd like to keep the speeders. it justifies my purchasing Ravenwing boxes rather than each bike one at a time.

How crazy would it be to run a bike command squad with hammers instead of your termies?

Would be much more expensive, and also unless you give them SS as well (making them insanely expensive) there going to die a lot easier.

About some FNP, T4(5) and mobility love?

I think the list is fairly good. I played against a similar list with my mech BT at 2500 points with my entire army except for termies in a transport and I got decimated. The differences between your lists are that he had dreads dropping in and LS storms with scouts for endgame objective claiming. My concern is that you don't have enough to deal with infantry if they get into combat with things other than the assault terminators because your preds won't be able to shoot at them then. Also, don't be afraid to go second.

Lascannons, MLs, Meltas, MCs, PF, TH, GKs etc etc etc are all going to kill those bikes easily, they may be T5 with FNP, that only makes them better against small arms fire/standard combat attacks, to make them better you need SS, which is too expensive.

Very Crazy.

You would be talking about 4 guys with 3+3+4+. 4 guys with thunder hammers on bikes. That's 325 points on its own.

A Veteran with a Bike and thunderhammer is 71 points. Throw in a storm shield [to make the hammer worthwhile] and it's gonna be 86 points.

A THSS terminator is 40 points.

So for the price of half a veteran with a worse save and albeit FNP/12" movement and a bolter, I'm buying two guys.

I will never take that. Plus, if I don't have the Terminators, Vulkan has nothing to ride with.

Okay, But T4(5) will still die fairly easily to blood angels and Grey knights. It isn't any good to me. Anyway, The terminators on their own are 200. I could take 10 of them for 15 points more. That'd be 6 more 2+3+ S8 power weapon attacks for only the sacrifice of 12" movement and bolters.

I think you have your head in the clouds, my friend.

Trust me, this is a second turn list.
