Hey all!

I am an avaid 40k player, but I started on fanasty when I was very young, and now I am thinking about getting back into it for the new animosity campaign, but I want to start small and slowly build up my army so that I don't take off too much time from my many 40k projects.

I was thinking of doing an orge army, starting on 500 points and moving up. I like how few model count the orges are, giving me time to still work on my other armies. At the moment I don't have the codex (have the older one) but was wondering what would be a good starting 500 point standard army.

I want to avoid the large monsters and the small buggers if possible , im sure at 500 points this won't be a problem, but will this hamper me in larger point games. I'm only planning to bring this army up to 1500pts max.

Thanks for any feedback!

I'm not an ogre player, but for a 1500 point/no monster/gnoblar army; the battalion is your best bet. One battalion and a Hero should get you 500 points.
2 with some extra stuff and a Lord choice will take you to 1500ish.
But I’d get the stonehorn (or whatever) cav, and the ironblaster. From what I’ve seen/read, those two units rock.

Cause the chicks dig it...

You really do not need stonehorns, but a Ironblaster or two would be advised
