Hi all,
I've been playing since I was in high school, but I've never really been all that good at the painting. so since I'm now out of College I have the time to sit down and really paint and learn. I even decided that I was going to start a brand new army this learning experience. So I've picked up some necrons warriors and I've already learned at least the basics of Drybrushing. I have now run into a problem I've had since I started that I would love a solution for. "How do you get the arms of a model to line up properly with the guns?" this has been bugging me since I started playing but never had the time to find an answer or use it if I did. Any help would be greatly appreciated and hopefully at some point I'll feel good enough about my stuff to post pictures some day.

Hi there and welcome to Dakka!
Glad to see you want to improve your own painting and modelling skill set, thats great! The painting and modeling section of this site offers amazing tutorials and photos to hopefully help you out. As far as the arms and gun alignment thing goes, honestly, its practice. I had a hell of a time with my CSM and their bolters, but after you do a few, you kinda get used to what you have to do. Practice practice practice.

Hey! You've come to the right place. The painting on here is incredible. My advice for arm-to-weapon problem would be to be absolutely sure that they are the correct match to begin with. Sometimes it will indicate a pare on the sprue before you clip them off, such as "a to a" or "b to b". If you're still not sure, try "dry fitting" (that is, using blu- tac or something similar) to test before you glue. Don't worry, I had exactly the same problem when I first started out
