It says they can move and shoot, and I know they don't work all like normal ballistic weapons, (its kinda more like an ability used during the ballistic phase right?). So can they march and spit fire?

The Restrictions I Put On My Tallarn Lists:
- Missile Launchers are the only HW teams allowed in Infantry Squads.
- All units able to take the FW Desert Raider special rule, must take it in lists of 750 points or more.
- 1 unit of 10 Rough Riders is required for lists of 1000 points or more.
- 2 units of Mukaali Rough Riders are required for lists of 1000 points or more.

Thread necromancy here, but I'm dusting off my Lizardmen for an upcoming WHFB campaign and I'd like some clarification on this. Where are Salamanders listed as being Skirmishers?

"Did you ever notice how in the Bible, when ever God needed to punish someone, or make an example, or whenever God needed a killing, he sent an angel? Did you ever wonder what a creature like that must be like? A whole existence spent praising your God, but always with one wing dipped in blood. Would you ever really want to see an angel?"

Salamanders are amazing.
Skirmishers - so can MARCH and fire, and get -1 to hit from shooting
Monsters and handlers - ablative 5+ ward saves that also attack.
Fear
St 5
9 wounds in a full unit.

They are awesome

Techinically Salamanders don't have skirmish - not directly, anyway. They have the Monster and Handlers rule, which INCLUDES skirmish as part of it.

That's why Hydras crash right through terrain without ever once making a dangerous terrain test.

Not true, salamander units do have the skirmishers USR in the army book.
Also M&H doesn't include skirmishing, hydras however don't take dangerous terrain tests because they aren't ridden.
