(note:there is some dust visible in these shots, I started these in Nov, then during work and commissions of December they've been sitting. Only just got a camera that was able to get good quality images again during the holidays. thus, dust)

First four are a necromancer and ghoul retinue in the works.

img 1- is the base build of the necro raising dead from the ground under him (still lots of work to do on all of these.

img 2 and 3 are ghouls, still need to finish some limbs, add torn loincloths, and finish up heads/faces.

The next in progress is a pirate ship captain.
face looks pretty bad now, will look better once hat and hair is added, she'll also have a full length coat that is blowing behind her. she is a scratch build off of a maquette instead of wires. We'll see how well that works out

Lastly, this is a sorceress character that I'm working on. the headpiece is going to be quite complicated if I can manage the level of detail I'm hoping to. Also, she will have clothes, but it will be a small robe, this the nude sculpt in progress.

Feedback and/or advice is greatly appreciated as these are some of my first full on scratch builds.

Also, have a bunch of finished minis that I'd like to post, would it be better to gallery them or make a post for them? or both?

you seem to have a fairly good grasp of anatomy and of making the armatures. I would highly recommend getting a clay-shaper as the greenstuff smoothing work looks pretty rough, my sculpting got a LOT better when I picked up a clay-shaper, it just makes smoothing it out SOOO much easier.

I like the ghouls so far, but the rough greenstuff is a little distracting on the rest, sorry :(. However you already seem to be better at heads than me, so you've definitely got talent, just keep at it!

Thanks Maxxev, will check my local art stores and see if I can pick one up as sounds like it'll make things easier. for now I'm just layering GS with the intention of a light sand/filing to smooth things out once the filling of space is done.

Completely understand the roughness is distracting on the other figures, still just putting things together.

Thanks again.
