Errr...not quite.

Vets are good because they can take three special weapons. Generally, vets go in something, because they're soft and squishy and die to a stiff breeze.

They should be in chimeras, or you should get foot blobs of 20 guardsmen.

Don't put heavy weapons in vets, particularly missiles which aren't great for Guard.

Try this;

CCS - 2x melta, Chimera

Vets - 3x Melta, Chimera
Vets - 3x Plasma, Chimera

Comes to 600pts and has much more killing power and durability.

I ran vets on foot at a small 750 tournament once and took it. Mind you, the field was mech heavy. For example, IG players brought lists similar to Blacksails. It only works as a surprise list and I wouldnt;t recommend it as a regular list.

I'd drop the tank. ML are okay but for 5 points more you get las. Another CCS is a must. You also need to think about how you will get get the enemy off of objectives once you've wrecked their vehicles.

Yeah, with MLs your either kicking yourself for not getting a LC for 5pts more or you feel like you have over-paid points and should have got a AC. For BS 4, not getting a LC is a crime. BS 3 should stop at AC.

Wasting special weapon slots on IG, the backbone of the list, makes me stabby. Don't be that guy.
