Sounds good to me. I would love to see if consoles could handle a PC only type game.

Leave mouse control on for the PS3 and it sounds great.

Sounds cool. I'd be willing to try something like that. Despite actually being a PC gamer at the time the first two came out, I never tried them.

I honestly prefer the cartoony aesthetics of Torchlight over those found in Daiblo, myself. I'm sure they will play similarily.

Besides, I lost a good 200 hours to Castlevania Harmony of Despair, I don't want to see what happens with a full fledged title like Diablo.....

This is good news. Personally I can see why a console version is possible. As the skill bar is very small and gold on the ground is automatically picked up (via walking over it).

I wonder how online multiplayer will work on the console version whether it will use battlenet or PS Network/Xbox Live. I wonder if it will support 2 Player, single console co-op like the console version of Diablo 1 (hopefully it does).

If the console version does prove true and adequate, I’ll probably buy it over the PC version.

Excellent, although I have enjoyed Diablo 2 on PC, I would have never have tried the game if not for the PSone version of Diablo. (Was it PSone or PS2?)

Eitherway, means I'll be getting three copies. My free one, a Collectors edition and the console version for the xbox.

I honestly don't care, just as long as standards aren't dropped in order to release it for consoles at the same time as PC.

I just want to play it.

Torchlight was a PC game ported to consoles, just as Diablo III will be, so again you are feasting on our leftovers! MWAHAHAHAHAHA! Torchlight 2 will be out for PC later this year.

This is gonna be a gimped version. I highly doubt it'll be the same as the PC version. It's quite clear that a controller does not have the same capabilities of KB&M.

Yeah, co-op would be awesome, even if just online based. I'd get it anyway but that would be an extra cherry on the cake.

Over the years I have seen a lot of PC only games that people said could not run on a console or some gak like that. Like if The Old Republic came to xbox a lot of people would say the system couldn't handle such a massive game.

So when I mentioned Diablo 3, I was more or less referring to it as a game like that not what kind of game.

O for feth sakes Blizzard! Dont drop the ball on your only good game series left, im of the personal belief that Diablo is the only game that should never get ported to a console. I swear to bloody god if they do anything to dumb the games controls down i will flip a cow. Graphics would not be an issue though if they do port it as they look goofy as is (for a Diablo game anyways)

Dude, Diablo has already been on a console and it played fine with less button options.

You don't even really have less buttons anymore. going by the 4 face buttons and 4 trigger/shoulder buttons on the Dual Shock 3 or 360 controller, you have 20 buttons. There have been several Diablo style games (Baldurs Gate, Champions of Norath, Ultimate Marvel, ect) on the consoles already with no issues.

That is interesting.

I will still get it for PC as playing with a controller just wouldn't seem right.

Though I said the same thing when I started to play FPS for consoles.

Yeah Playstation 1, I had never heard of it before then, I also tasted my first Warcraft thanks to that console. Warcraft 2.

Without the PSone I'd have never found Blizzard games back then. Sadly didn't have a gaming capable PC untill 2002. Missed out on a lot of good stuff, like as a avid RPG fan, it seems almost criminal I've never played Planscape Torment.

This is why some people (You may or may not call them console gamers) have issues with the attitude of PC gamers...
