Love the old style Daemonettes. Have you considered adding some edge highlights to the claws? You may have them and they did not come out in the picture, I think some Blazing Orange would make them pop.

Hiya. Thanks for looking. Yeah, I'm not a fan of the new style Daemonettes. Think the femininity is a bit lacking in the new ones. I did highlight the edges on the claws lightly with a 1:1 Scab Red/Blood Red mix, but sadly, it doesn't pop as well as I had hoped. I'll try it out with some Blazing Orange next time around when I get the urge to paint.

They look nice, the red for me though just seems to red. It really stands out and is a little distracting, but otherwise great job.

I like the bluish skin tone they appear to have, goes well with the turquoise.

They look great The cloth and adornments, especially, are very well done. I wonder if the red might need a little more depth although it's enitrely possible that it's simply the camera flash that has washed it out. But still, neat job I wish I had the old style daemonettes.

Thank you for the kind words. Glad you like them. Yes, the flash kinda ruined the picture, but it was late.

First of all I'd like to commend you on your use of the old style models - much better than the new ones, in my opinion. These have the look and feel of what Daemonettes are, I think, as in they look lithe, seductive yet deadly. The new plastics just look too "busy", in you face and, well, ugly! Same goes for the mounted versions, too. The old ones have great poses and a great sense of movement to them, the new ones are, again, just ugly looking and appear void of any sense of swiftness or movement.

Anyway, onto your paint job!

It's hard, because like others have mentioned and as you yourself have said, pictures don't always capture how the models actually look 100%, but here's my thoughs on how they look in the picture:

- great skin tone! That pale, purplish colour has come out very nice. Well done.
- the clothing pieces have a good colour, but appear a little flat and look like they're still waiting for a wash and final highlights
- the red is too solid and blocky-looking, if you understand me. Like the cloth, they could use some toning down with washes and then some more highlighting to make them "pop" (like the other poster said with using orange - that sounds really good). They have some nice ridges to work with and at the moment all I see is a big block of red (granted, this may be due to the picture as well).

So there you are. Great start, but keep going! A little more work (like I said even if it's just a wash and final highlight) and you might be surprised at how much difference that extra stage can make. Also, you may want to consider adding a few mounted ones, too - just make sure it's the old ones!
