Sextons v Priests.

If FE or Turning Tides has the option of keeping the Priests, I would do so. Not only does the Priest have better FP than a 25pdr (4+ rather than just 5+) with the rumored changes up coming for v3, given that the Priest has a 105mm, it will be a Heavy Breakthrough Gun, which brings another host of advantages.

I have seen folks take just a 2 gun section of Sextons/priests also, for smoke. There are no drawbacks (in v2 anyways) for taking just 2 guns for smoke, so you save points that could go elsewhere. Like 6pdrs? I know they are pretty weak on paper, but in ambush? they are great.

I did want to grab the priests, but at the moment, their to many points, like 85-100pts then the Sextons ;D

I was also thinking about turning this army into the 1st Polish Armoured because it makes them fearless, but I would have to drop the Air support, but I think the Air Support would be quite useful

Sorry to be rude, but what is a sexton? Surely you mean section?

Its a self-propelled 25pdr. built on the Ram chassis.

"There's a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious—makes you so sick at heart—that you can't take part. You can't even passively take part. And you've got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you've got to make it stop. And you've got to indicate to the people who run it, to the people who own it that unless you're free, the machine will be prevented from working at all" Mario Savio

Wow, that is a very fine list. The Fireflies give Heavy Armour a bit of a fright. 20 tanks, total, arty support, air support, a recon element and a platoon of Infantry! Thats a fairly large amount of kit for 1750.

2 Gun elements for laying smoke is a great tactic, but who knows what V3 will bring. Cannot wait for V3 now and get to grips with all the rules changes, the meta-game is going to change which will make life interesting for the 1st Six months after release.

Collecting Forge World 30k????? If you prefix any Thread Subject line on 30k or Pre-heresy or Horus Heresy with [30K] we can convince LEGO and the Admin team to create a 30K mini board if we can show there is enough interest!

Definitely a well balanced list. I do wish there was some way to better keep the opponent from sniping out the fireflies, though. :( If I am lucky I get *1* shot with a firefly or a challanger before they go boom due to gun tanking. This is, of course, why I usually play british airborne in LW instead of tanks.

@paratrooper, thanks mate! I figured WWPD and others have the picture batreps down, so I decided to do Vids. For some reason though Ive been tardy with regualr updates on Ye Olde Blogge.... probably something to do with SWTOR no doubt

And yes the Sexton was on the Ram chassis, which is the Canadian-built version of the Sherman, hence why the shape is a bit different. I believe it was right-hand-drive though for the Brits, as it was a Brit design, but factories here built them.
