I would be tempted to get another Mortar section if possible? Are their options for Mortar Upgrades or HMG's within the list? The reason I say this is that British Para's are great, you will want to get to grips with enemy Tanks and infantry and assault them, this means either smoking them or Pinning them with fire (or any combination of the 2). So to reduce your casualties as you move forward you want organic artillery (mortars) to lay smoke and HMG's to pin your enemy down so you can assault and batter them without getting cut to ribbons by enemy fire on the way in.
Okay so taking pg 14, I see you;ve not got many options! I would possibly take a HMG platoon. They are good at holding down positions, protecting objectives and protecting flanks.
Don't forget the rule on pg 16 to fire a light mortar of smoke, this will definitely help, especially if you are using two platoons to assault a position.
The airlanding list pg18 gives access to 6 x 3" Mortars rather than 4x 3" in the Para-list. The choice of Airlanding, means you can land more kit, rather than the smaller lighter armed platoons of the Para's, the Gliderborne can have more gun teams etc in their platoons making them more resilient in the face of enemy fire. YMMV. However I like the accuracy of your list, it's a very robust infantry list and would be difficult to shift once they are dug in.
EDIT - Pack howitzers 4 sections (8 guns) for 280points is amazing. I would consider this!

Collecting Forge World 30k????? If you prefix any Thread Subject line on 30k or Pre-heresy or Horus Heresy with [30K] we can convince LEGO and the Admin team to create a 30K mini board if we can show there is enough interest! |

Thanks for the input - have to agree with your last comment , the howitzers have been my star performers and 2 more sections is a possibility!

mwnciboo pretty much covered the bases. Some HMGs if possible and maybe some more howitzers. Otherwise this is a good list. Airborne are a very tough nut to crack and with all their guns and PIATs they can wreak havoc on any armored forces that get too close. They are awesome when played on a table with woods near the objectives they are defending because dug in Fearless Veterans in concealing terrain and well nigh impossible to dislodge without taking a lot of casulaties and in that terrain any armor assaulting you will need to make bog checks which adds another layer of assault defense.

Thanks for the input, think I'll be getting more howitzers then!
I was thinking of getting some alternative units do I could do the 6th list from turning tide, wondered if anyone had any thoughts on that list?

The Frost perimeter list in A Bridge Too Far also has the "always the defender" rule. Not as big an impact now in V.3 since the "defensive battle rule" no longer really exists as a separate entity in the rules, but nice when you do have to roll off against other infantry and don't want to have to be the one to attack so your Fearless vets can stay dug in for most of the fight.
Only weakness in that list is that Frost had zero 17pdrs for use, so the best AT you get is 10 from the 6pdrs.
