OK, quick question:

Daemon codex says ICs can only attach to daemons of the same God (e.g. khorne to khorne, etc.) and they cannot go to other factions from other Gods.

So, as I was reading through the codex, it says Furies are pretty much cast offs, free agents. Not that anyone seems to run them, but does this mean any IC can attach to a unit of Furies or that none can.

Just wondering.

Thanks.

It's not a question of why, it's a question of legality. If the daemon codex says that IC's can only join a unit of the same god, then no. If on the other hand it only says they cannot join a unit of a different god then yes.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Can't be of a different god, or specifically furies

Codex: Chaos Daemons Page 27 under Daemonic Rivalry:
"Independent character in this list cannot join units of Daemons belonging to a different chaos god or units of furies of chaos"
