So, the codex states that a unit can deepstrike along any point that the vehicle moved. If they scatter, they must take a dangerous terrain test. Then it says if any of the models can't be deployed, the entire unit is destroyed. My question is this: if one of your models fails the dangerous terrain test, does the whole unit get destroyed or does that rule refer to scattering onto impassable terrain or enemy models?

The second; although now that you mention the first interpretation I can see that. Funny.

In order to take the terrain test, the model has to have been deployed into dangerous terrain thus the requirement for the model being deployed has been met, it just so happens that he impaled himself on something sharp in the process.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

As above. You deploy the model, THEN take the terrain test. Losing a model here does not destroy the unit.

Thanks for the clarification guys. Dropping out of the Valkyrie seems a lot less dangerous now!
