Hey dakka, long time no see

I recently got started on a Traitor Guard army (using the Servants of Slaughter rules in the Siege of Vraks campaign books) and I'm looking into some non-GW alternatives for my vehicles. Not due to budget constraints (I'm deployed, money is not a problem)

My renegade militia are all Wargames Factory SciFi Greatcoat troopers (so much win), and as such I'm looking for some tanks with a 1930's feel to go with them. So far the best I've seen is Tamiya's 1/35 scale Italian M13/40 light tank, which appears to be around the same size as a Russ. I also like the Old Crow vehicles, but I don't know how well they look next to normal 28mm soldiers, and they seem a little too futuristic for my tastes. If anyone has any advice or recommendations, I'm all ears. Otherwise I'll just get some Russes and a Malcador.

Pic related, it's some of my troops (dude in red is an Enforcer) and a Russ.

Acheron Tomb Legion (shelved until codex update)
Revenants of Khaine Corsair Fleet (2000 and growing)
Blood Reapers Chaos Warband (World Eaters, Iron Warriors, and Death Guard) The only army I actually win games with!

Heres' what the Claymore and Sabre look like next to some figs.

Here's what the Claymore and Trojan look like compared to a GW Rhino.

And the Trojan next to some infantry (GW Cadians, with pith helmets).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

hmmmm those could have some potential once properly decked out with chaos bitz and iconography... I might order a test model and give it a try.

The Lancer in particular has great potential as a Chimera alternative...

Have a look on ebay for Lone Star/Crescent toys/Britains diecasts, very cheap, heavy, and generally lots of rivets; see examples in my gallery under IG Armour. Enjoy!
