This is my shrike, I plan on making 3 more shrikes and this one came out fine... however I am having problems painting the wings. If you notice I am using a grey base coat and light grey outline on the carapace then gone over with some good old fashioned blamab black. the model is base coated in icy blue and then hit with some blue ink. The wings are coated in icy blue mixed with white then hit with some blue ink. However the bones of the wings are painted with dark angels green.... and I hate how it looks but I can not figure out what color would give it a nice appearance. the theme I'm trying for with the shrikes is to blend in with the sky and possibly be mistaken for a cloud. witch is why I choose grey for the carapace.

So in summery... help me fix the bones and claws of the wings... please!!

A bleached bone colour would be more complimentary i think,
I would use bleached bone then highlight with white, and if you want it to be more grimy in apearance maybe a light ogryn flesh wash.

It depends whether that would match up with the rest of your army i guess though

I might try to do the bones to match the carapace/claws. Looks like fortress grey, so base bones in that then drybrush or feather with a nice clean white. Just my 2 cents
