Ive never put together a 40k army before and im a little confused on how you do upgrades. Would these be legal?
Hive Tyrant:
1 Hive Commander
1 Adrenal glands
1 Regeneration
1 Armored Shell

I took 2 from the part that says Take any of the following. And 1 from a couple of the other options in different parts.

Yes, those are legal.

Regeneration's a waste, though. Too many points, and it probably won't do anything.

If the codex says that is legal then it is legal, if the codex does not have those option combinations then it is not legal.

It is clearly spelled out in the Tyranid Codex.

But the answer is yes.

Ive read Codex for different games that say one thing but mean another.
Since my rule book wont be here until next wed(crosses fingers) i dont have anything to compare it against.

Thank you both for your answers.

Also do the upgrades come with the models or do you have to buy them seperate. ( i mean in the box that they come in not with points )

For Tyranids, upgrade bits come with the models. When they don't come with the models, they don't exist.

Add anti-vehicle. You need it desperately. Hive guards are good. So are zoanthropes in a pod (there's currently no pod model, though).

Trygons are pretty fun too, and eat vehicles if they can survive long enough to assault them.

A friend of mine uses this toy for his spore pods.

Once painted they look really cool.

you can get them for about $10

I've already pimped it once this week, might as well do it again. I use this model (the version with tentacles). Painted up, it looks awesome. It's more expensive than your solution, but I'm extremely happy with the result.

Holy $42 dollars Batman!

The Eggs look good and at $10 you cant beat the price.

Add a few Nid looking bits from spare sprues and Profit!

That is what I use. My son plays with the toy inside, and I got myself a Myceotic Spore Pod. Also depending on your colour scheme, you don't even have to paint it if you are lucky to get one close to your colour scheme.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?
