Blood Chalice gives all units within 6" Furious Charge and FNP.

Is the 6" inclusion counted before or after the charge? Say for instance a unit within 6" assaults out of the 6 inch range, does the unit still get Furious Charge because it initiated the charge within the 6"?

Alternatively what if a unit charges and ends up within 6" of the sanguinary priest?

It's a little unintuitive, but you measure when the unit is either about to strike or gets hit. If the model is within range at that time, it benefits from FC and FNP.

By about to strike do you mean already in cc and about to roll dice? Or do you mean declaring an assault movement?

Per the FAQ, you check when you start rolling for attacks.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Q: At what point does a model need to be in range of
a Blood Chalice or The Red Grail in order to gain the
bonuses of Furious Charge? (p48, 49, 52)
A: When you put the bonuses to use, i.e. when the
model makes its close combat attacks.

Important to read that answer, because if the Priest dies before some of your models Int comes up then they will not benefit from the chalice.

Just something for you to chew on, you would actually need to check multiple times. When you check for init, and for attacks, otherwise you would never get the init bonus. Because regular Marines init is always 4 unless it is modified, and then therefor you automatically lose the init bonus, because your attacks happen at 4 instead of 5.
