Hi guys, I'm making two Skin-bare Dreadnoughts. To try and mitigate my 105 point walking tanks smasher's cheesyness in a drop pod, I'm going to use a contemptor dreadnought that has been modified to make it more appealing.

If I bought 2 Contemptor dreadnoughts and all the parts I need for it, It'd cost me just on 300 dollars - a price I think is far too steep for 280 points in a 2k army. [though it would look cool]

My question is, Will a contemptor dreadnought fit comfortably inside a basic GW drop pod if I did not put in the inner components? I'm one of those uber geeks who will like to have the dreadnought inside the drop pod when the hatches open, and I think it'd look really cool if it was inside when I dropped it rather than simply coming out on the side once the doors are open.

I also plan on magnetizing the base of the dreadnought and the underside of the drop pod to make sure that it doesn't get damaged during its downward flight towards the board.

Thoughts?

also, I'm planning on magnetising the arms. is this easy?

As in, I have to use a standard dreadnought if I want to do this? That sucks. :/

Aren't they bigger than the standard washing machine dread? Already thought it had trouble as is getting in.

As for magnetising the arms, shouldn't really be any harder than the standard, but I'm unfamiliar with the kit.

Well, I wouldn't magnetize the original at all - they all slot together.
